Hi,

I am from India and waiting for my interview date to be scheduled by NVC. I am an EB-1 applicant and expect to be interviewed at the Mumbai consulate. My case was complete on October 24th and had not been assigned any date till last week. I have been unable to contact NVC this week and hopefully will succeed today. Is there anyone with interview date already with a case complete date later than 10-24-2014?

Thanks in advance

P.S.: I called Mumbai consulate helpline today, but they couldn't tell me anything more than that my case is at the NVC.

Timeline

We finally received our interview "packet" yesterday. Which is only two pieces of paper. One about the medical which you can find online. The second was a generic letter in Serbian with my husband's name and interview date/time handwritten to the top out about what to bring. Is this really the packet (#3 & 4)? On the VJ timeline it asked when packet #3 is finished. I don't understand that.

Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

My wife just got approved at the interview at Ho Chi Minh City Consulate, Vietnam :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Thanks all for your sharing knowledge and support

BTW, after getting approval, they gave her the approval notice. It's a white piece of paper. I read from some vietnamese forums that the approval notice is pink. Why is hers white? Does the color of paper mean anything?

Congrats, can I ask you how long till you get ur interview day since CC? And the interview date is a month before the schedule?

Thanks very much Cathymac! Good luck for your interview, you'll have to let me know how it goes!

I have booked my medical for the 28th (1 week before the interview on the 9th) do you think that's enough time?? It seemed like you did yours much earlier!

Thanks

Considering, all being in order at your medical. Knightsbridge Doctor need 5 business days to get your medical to the London Embassy.

It's business days, as they (Visa Doctor) don't work weekends.

Can anyone advice me on how does address change (Petitioner's) affect me at interview? I have received my interview date (we have changed address with NVC over phone).Do we need to change it in Ds-260 at the time of interview? or do we need to change AOS?

It doesn't effect the interview... After Visa Issued you will have to pay immigrant fee. Just update the address at that time, otherwise USCIS will mail your green card to old address.

We have passed through the same problem you were passing through and we called NVC several times and we were told that we can change the address during the interview and yes the NVC was right. We successfull changed it and everything went smoothly. What you're going to do is that once you get to the embassy, wait for the secretary to call your number so that he or she can check through your petition file to be sure all the documents are intact, then this is the chance for you to change your address, just tell the secretary that you just moved from one apartment to another which means your apartment address have been changed and just tell her the new address either by dictating it to her or by writing it on a piece of paper so that she can correct it on your DS 260. she will get everything done and let you know that its okay now. During the interview when they asked my husband where i am living, he just told the Co that i am living in so so so address but last week we changed our address and now my wife lives in so so so address presently and the CO asked if he has changed it and he answered yes with the secretary and the CO checked and realized it has been changed and everything went on well. After the approve your visa on the immigrant envelope you will see your address under the beneficiary details will be the new present address and you will be happy that it all went on well. So don't stress yourself, you can change it at the time of your interview

Congrats, can I ask you how long till you get ur interview day since CC? And the interview date is a month before the schedule?

I received the interview letter (P4 letter) about 20 days after case completed.

The interview date is scheduled about a month from the date receiving of the P4.

Just read dwheels spreadsheet on my nick to get precise date.

Btw, someone receive P4 letter next day. In my case, it took a week to receive P4 letter after they schedule interview date.
