The interview went very well, only lasted about 5 mins. In the meantime, the CO was mostly mentioning how much he likes Texas  I'll post a review later.

I know someone personally whose wife was held back until after delivery to pickup her visa. She was not denied, but was postponed. The CO clearly asked her if she is planning to travel while pregnant, giving the fact that she was in late pregnancy. She answered that she's planning to give birth in Morocco. The CO shocked her by his brutal answer. The visa will be issued after labor.

WOw. Well no harm since she was going to stay away. Understandable. I sure wouldn't use pregnancy as a "i need to get to the US fast".

They have all required documents including a checklist. Our expedite was based on NVC error.

Then there's nothing they need from you since all was submitted at NVC. Phew I was worried a minute. Ease your mind. They have what you need. Bring any other thing you want if AOS changed bring that otherwise you are good.

Hey, just got interview confirmation, 9th December, yeyy!!

A little confused by the interview letter though. It says that I need to take all originals to interview including husbands (sponsor) tax returns etc, but then further down on the documents section where it gives the letter coded key It says that they have sent my documents to the embassy in the UK. So do I have to take everything AGAIN? Just want to make sure I take everything needed.

Thanks !

did they request the recent pay stubs ?

will the embassy ask for petitioner recent paystubs for the interview ?

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

I sent a request to the Tokyo embassy to get an earlier interview date, and the reply came today - because it's not a humanitarian emergency, they denied my request. I didn't put a reason in my original request, but I also didn't feel there was a need to. I had hope because I had seen other couples have success in moving their interview dates... I was really hoping we would both be able to be in the States for Christmas, but now I have to decide to either stay here in Japan with my husband and miss another Christmas & New Year's away from my family, or head home and not be with my husband during the holidays.
My mood really matches the cloudy/rainy/cold weather we're having here today...
