Visa was approved today :dancing::dance:

The interview went very well, only lasted about 5 mins. In the meantime, the CO was mostly mentioning how much he likes Texas  I'll post a review later.

dwheels76, thank you so much for all your support and dedication to this thread! You really rock!! :star:

Good luck everyone for your interviews!

Congratulations.

Great thats awesome. Did they make you get flu shot. Can you please let me know what other shots they made you get. I have the list but I heard you do not need all those. Sorry and how long did you take.

The med check was pretty quick and easy. My appointment was at 1 and I was done just after two. I went about 15 minutes early to fill out the medical history forms.

I had already gotten my flu shot, so I just brought the record along with my other vaccination records. Mainly they wamy you to have MMR,Tdap, and varcella( unless, like me, you had chicken pox before). And the flu shot now.

After filling out the forms, I saw the Dr.(Dr Pigeon). He was very friendly and chatty. He quickly reviewed the info I had given, had me change into a gown and did a heart, lung, and abdomen check. He also checked my blood pressure since I hadn't seen a nurse yet.

Next I saw a nurse who took 1 vial of blood the check for syphilis, did height and weight, and did vision check.

After that I had a chest X-ray and then paid the 290. Very easy and everyone was nice, professional, and friendly.

I get the results Monday afternoon.

Ok this for immigrant visa interviewees for MONTREAL consulate... :goofy:

so i was reading up a couple of reviews about the interview..basically this is the SYNOPSIS --- you go from initial security, enter doors, show confirmation of LOOMIS, then enter the elevators ..go up to floor 19 exit at the back and head to visa reception lady (get a ticket number), wait, go to the first window --- submit relevant documents pertaining to your case, get fingerprinted, then go sit back down and then are called again for your "interview" which in everyones review is NOT longer than 15 min. What is confusing to me is this window number 7. Some people say on their review is that you have a chair and you sit down and have space to place your documents and talk to the person face to face and some people said its like standing in front a teller at a bank with a glass separating you both. which one is it? I personally would prefer the former option… :content:

So for the canadians going in the next couple of weeks for the interview…( i know a bunch of you are going)….when you all get approved, can you kindly make that clear… in the interview review thread. THanks guys and wishing all of you the BEST!!! :):):thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Probably. I don't know if they can courier them to you or not. It takes3 business days to get the results.

The cost was 290 and he'll need 5 passport photos. On the phone they had said four, but actually needed 5. Luckily someone who did their medical earlier posted about the 5 so I was prepared for that.

Did mine yesterday in Toronto! Took my blood pressure, asked me if I was healthy, took my 300.00 (cash), sent me for the xray and the blood. And that was it.... (seriously)

I did duck into a clinic to get the flu shot Monday (never had one before, don't really go in for that sort of thing, but am not going to argue about it either).

Do you realize there are four of us scheduled next Tues morning (that we know of)? It will be a VJ immigration bash...

Trust, but verify!

When i called, the lady who answered was very descriptive….she said to bring 5 passport pictures, interview letter, and your vaccination records. Also if you take any medication to bring those. I already asked i take multi-vitamins and that isn't necessary. Also they give you, your results in 3 business days. Also she said something very interesting - YOU can come on the day of your interview and pick up your medical results that day. For example, say you get Dec 15 as your interview date. And lets say you schedule your medical for dec 1. it takes them 3 business days to get the results (hence ready by dec 5) which means you can come back to pick it up on Dec 5 or after, OR if you let them know, you can come say on Dec 14 (the day before your interview) or Dec 15 at 7 am and pick up the medical results and go straight for your interview. they are like 10 min walking distance from the US consulate. I only say this as it is upto you as you will have to drive one extra time if you guys come to pick up your results before. You choice. :goofy::goofy::goofy::goofy:

Will do!

To be fair, I have had both scenarios (seated and standing) when conducting business at the Calgary consulate. I expect I will need to be seated for this one as they will have to review all my docs on site (not having been fully processed at NVC). While those who have been screened should get away with a standing interview. Just my 'guestimation', though....

I know! We need name tags!

Like the arrivals door at the airport, I'll stand there with sharpie signs with all your VJ 'handles' scrawled on paper....

Trust, but verify!
