Congrats to all who just got good news, and wish the other good news soon.

I was wondering if one can request an early interview because she is pregnant and wants to join her husband sooner. I was told in one case that an immigration officer refused to issue the visa for a pregant immigrant, beause she was pregnant, until after she gives birth in her home country.

Anybody knows how true could be this story?

I dont think they would deny a pregant woman a visa to reunit with her husband because of the risk of flying in high altitude.

My case was complete at the NVC today. I did not receive an interview date because the embassy is not scheduling anymore December interviews. Can anyone provide information on this scenario? How long can I expect to wait for an interview?

Congratulations. Welcome to the group. I have added you to the list.

If they are indeed done with your embassy the next scheduling is for January and probably will start 27th or 28th of this month.

Visa was approved today :dancing::dance:

The interview went very well, only lasted about 5 mins. In the meantime, the CO was mostly mentioning how much he likes Texas  I'll post a review later.

dwheels76, thank you so much for all your support and dedication to this thread! You really rock!! :star:

Good luck everyone for your interviews!

Your interview package is just the interview letter and maybe a list of panel doctors. Unless your embassy has some specific requirements( Look at the website).

Now since you went through embassy I don't know if they have the nice checklist of what you submitted and what they still need. So that is the big ??

Because there have been people who go through NVC submitted documents submitted AOS and was asked to bring this and that to interview. So I can understand abit if anxiety since you are 1 week away.

Did you already finish the medical?

We are doing the medical tomorrow. 4am bus to Belgrade is not fun but we are happy to get it done and over with.

I looked on the website but there's no additional information for Belgrade. I checked the Belgrade Embassy site but couldn't find anything about the interview process. Most of the information on VJ is from K-1s so we just aren't sure, and it's not detailed at all. It is very stressful!

We just wish we knew if we need police certs and translations. We cannot get those the same day here in our town and it can takes a few days for both the official documents and translations. I just can't wait for this to be over! :bonk:

They have all required documents including a checklist. Our expedite was based on NVC error.

Send out an email to the embassy. Here is a template by Teacup:

********************************************************

For those who want to request an earlier interview date here is a template written up by our own TeaCup.

Thank you TeaCup for the Template on how to notify the embassy

********************************************************

Petitioners Name

Petitioners Date of birth

Beneficiarys Name

Beneficiarys Date of birth

NVC Case #

To whom it may concern,

My name is *********

I am writing to you in order to request an earlier interview. I have originally been scheduled for an Immigrant interview at (name of embassy and give date)

I have completed the required medical exam and I have all the necessary documents necessary for the interview and I am ready.

If it is at all possible for an earlier interview date to be scheduled for me it would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time

for those of you got interview scheduled about one week after the case complete, you won't believe what I got from Consulate yesterday.

"The case was electronically loaded by the National Visa Center (NVC), which allows us to open the case in our system. However, we still require all of the supporting physical documentation to process these cases. Currently, the file is in transit from the NVC. Due to the long delay imposed by Chinese customs, the file could take up to four months or longer to reach the Consulate."

I can just wish the documents can pass through custom less than they have mentioned.
