Thanks so much mandiimoose….i appreciate it…..i shall do that tomorrow ..its on the list….

Heya! If you have your interview date go ahead and sign up for loomis. The Montreal email that everyone got was just for extra documents they require at the interview. I printed my confirmation right away and have it sitting with my big bundle of interview documents! I bought sticky tabs *____* organization or bust!

Austin

It was the first thing I saw at 4.30 am this morning as I took my son swim training. I was just so happy for you. Did they like your jokes!! You guys must be over the moon. The journey has finally come to an end. When are you moving?

The day got better as I also received my interview date - 23rd December and so did Juan Bravo - 2nd December. Would have liked earlier in December but once my file reaches Sydney I am going to see if I can bring it forward. Still, I must not complain especially as I thought it wouldn't happen until January.

I am quite tired now and am going to have an early night.

Once again, a BIG congratulations.

My husband scheduled the medical today for November 25. We're not going to get plane tickets to Bogotá until we get the actual NVC e-mail about the interview though, because I am paranoid the date will change or something and then we'll be screwed. A friend in Bogotá offered to let us stay in his apartment, which is a huge financial relief. Still waiting for all of this to feel real.

USCIS (Priority date April 1, Approval April 17, no RFEs)

March 28, 2014: I-130 sent via FedEx from Bogotá to Chicago Lockbox

April 1, 2014: Delivered to Chicago Lockbox at 10:29 a.m. according to FedEx tracking; signed for by J. CHYBA (date confirmed by My Case Status)

April 4, 2014: NOA1 e-mail received at 12:17 a.m.; case accepted and routed to CSC for processing. Check cashed.

April 17, 2014: Changed mailing address with USCIS Tier 2 representative. He also confirmed that our case had arrived to the CSC and that our NOA1 date is April 3.

April 18, 2014: NOA2 e-mail received at 12:30 a.m. Case status online changed to post-decision activity; date of "last updated" changed to April 17. Change of address e-mail received at 3 a.m. Status changed back to initial review on e-mail and online. Date of "last updated" now April 18. Called and spoke to two Tier 2 reps; both were useless.

April 21, 2014: Approval confirmed verbally by Tier 2 rep. Order put in to send second NOA2 hard copy to new address. Instructed to ignore online case status.

April 25 or 26, 2014: NOA1 hard copy arrives to old apartment in Bogotá. Priority date actually April 1. (April 3 was the notice date.)

May 16: USCIS change of address e-mail received

May 19: USCIS e-mail received saying a duplicate notice was mailed on this date. Case status now set to "Acceptance."

May 22: NOA2 duplicate hard copy arrives to U.S. address

I got my police clearance in june….from canada….since i have lived in india i got a clearance from there…too in march and again the indian embassy in july….i am not doing anything new..for montreal consulate interview your police clearance is valid for one year...

from what i remember canada police clearance only does a name check….you need to have some kind of a record to go further with fingerprints..and it takes sometime…at least here in montreal…since my name check was clear…and that is what i submitted and it has gone to the montreal embassy..

i am not doing anymore police clearance until the embassy specifically asks me to. technically i am within the one year validity ...

and yes i saw you got your case complete... :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::goofy::goofy::goofy::goofy: … i didn't see anyone scheduled after Dec 10-12 for montreal..so yes i think you have a very strong likelihood of getting your interview in late december….

Thanks TargetNovember14, how have you been? Getting all ready for your interview. So happy for you.

Yes keep eyes on the ceac site for In-Transit is best.

This could possible be your package. It's on its way. Should be there maybe tomorrow or Thursday.

MSC, DWheels - I think this might be a little too fast for them. IF MSC13's status is "In Transit", then it is possible, but our file took 4 days to actually leave NVC. Our file took 3 whole days to change to "In Transit" MSC13's interview was only assigned on Monday, and I think it is kind of rare to be assigned and ready for shipment on the same day. I might guess that the Aussie packet contains the December 2nd or December 9th interviews. MSC, as soon as you see "In Transit" on your status, then watch for the Waybills.

But...the GOOD news is that it only takes two days from shipping to receiving in Sydney!

The more I think about it the more I'm fairly sure it was NVCs fault that the Montreal consulate asked for a new Canada police check. I'm looking at mine now and it's only two months old and it states that based on my name and date of birth there are no matches in the RCMP national repository of criminal records. Can someone tell me if that sounds legit enough?

I'm thinking it went something like this: in my P4 letter on the last page with the codes of what I need to bring or what the consulate already has the nvc stated they sent my police check to the consulate. I did Electronic Processing though so there's no way they sent that and I need to bring the original to the interview. Maybe Montreal sent me the checklist requestig a new one but meant bring my original. Does that make sense?
