I had an interview today - APPROVED!

Sorry, I'm suck at posting a message on VJ using my mobile phone since I don't have my laptop computer with me in Montreal. :-( Boy, this site is not mobile friendly at all! :-(

I hope someone saw my Facebook message and let my friends know about the good news! Fingers crossed!

Austin

It was the first thing I saw at 4.30 am this morning as I took my son swim training. I was just so happy for you. Did they like your jokes!! You guys must be over the moon. The journey has finally come to an end. When are you moving?

The day got better as I also received my interview date - 23rd December and so did Juan Bravo - 2nd December. Would have liked earlier in December but once my file reaches Sydney I am going to see if I can bring it forward. Still, I must not complain especially as I thought it wouldn't happen until January.

I am quite tired now and am going to have an early night.

Once again, a BIG congratulations.

Xxx

Just called NVC. We have an interview date of 23rd December.

Now, I wonder how long it will take them to issue the Visa and get it to us. Mmmmmm. Am super excited. Once they get my file I might email and see if I can bring it forward although I am sure they won't. Still, worth a try.

Guess they are still scheduling.

dwheels, can you add me to the spreadsheet please?

Finally! That's great news. You should definitely try and move that interview date up.

msc13 We got December 2nd interview! Now I'm freaking out about the medical and such. I wonder wich Drs in Sydney are fastest

Congratulations!

I called to ask about my interview date and they told me they couldn't tell me.

He did tell me my case was closed on October 30, so should I have a date yet?

Should I call again?

Today NVC is closed.. find out if some one after your CC date received interview .. on Monday they scheduled interviews for open embassies (Columbia,India,Pakistan,Australia,Philippines ..) . Just call tomorrow evening

Hello, I am still at the NVC stage, hoping to have CC the first week of December. However my daughter and I are moving to the States next week and leaving my husband here in Chile until he receives his visa.

My question is this: Should I leave my daughter's original documents (Consular Birth Abroad Certificate, SSN Card, etc) with DH in Chile to take to the interview? Or should I bring them with me to the States in case I need them there (don't know why I would need them) and just leave copies for the embassy interview?

Thank you for any advice you can give!

Just make copies give to your husband. Keep originals with you.

We have finished the interview at the embassy in Paris last week and my husband's visa was approved.

I am not sure if your case is the same but the embassy did not ask anything specific for the civil documents or financial documents as I already sent the originals to NVC.

What we did was we obtained the latest birth certificate and police certificate (as I heard that they had to be less than 3 month old, so to be safe) and when they asked us if we had any updated version, we simply replaced with new ones. As for financial documents, unless you have any changes since the time you sent to NVC, or they specifically asked you to bring something, I think it should be OK. As for us, they did not ask anything about the AOS during the interview at the embassy.

Good luck on your interview on Wednesday!

P.S. I wrote the review on the interview at the embassy in Paris.

Congrats on your husband's visa! Thanks so much for your post. We are hoping it goes well. The police certificate and birth certificate we have are not less than 3 months old, however. The information from the embassy states only that the police certificate has to be less than 1 year old. I hope we don't have a problem! :o

I'll let you all know tomorrow how it pans out. I'm putting a bottle of champagne to chill before we leave in the morning! :D

October 23 cc

October 31 interview scheduled

December 8 interview

I know I need to schedule a biometrics appointment at least a day before the interview through www.ustraveldocs.com (haven't gone through the steps as I don't know the wife's availability yet) and schedule the medical at least a week prior. Do I need to schedule or "accept" the interview appointment somewhere, or does my wife just show up there? Also, is there anything else that I need to be aware of or do prior to the interview (except gathering proof of the relationship)? I want to be certain I am not leaving out any steps. Thanks!
