I think I need to stop reading. I fly to Montreal tomorrow to do my medical and then interview next Tuesday. I have everything prepped but reading on here is starting to freak me out that I don't have something. I didn't get a request from Montrwal to bring anything else so I should be fine but -- AAAAHHH!! Second guessing everything!!!!

Yes. It is probably best to just stop immediately... Yet, I am utterly unable to shut down this tab.....

Now I am freaking out my police check isn't current enough.... Arrrrrgghhhhh.....

How old was your police check?

I got it from my town police in September. It does have the rcmp mention on it but I figured if they're asking for a new one I might as well go all out. Honestly I don't think I need a new check but rather the NVC stated in my P4 letter that they had sent the consulate my police check which couldn't have been true since all I sent were scans. I think Montreal just said I need a new one but meant bring the original one because they don't have it themselves. Does that make sense? Anyways I'll bring both to the interview and ask which one they actually wanted, it's more money out of my pocket but I want to be safe! So I hope I get that RCMP check in the mail soon.

On a side note I'm staying in Montreal for the week of my interview just because! I was thinking I should stand outside on the 18th since everyone except me seems to have their interview that day and then ask and congratulate as they go!

Goodness no! I just like to change "well" to other words that sound close to it as if I'm actually talking in person! Sometimes "oh well" becomes "oh whale"! D:

Anyways my pictures are pretty bad too. I got them done at shoppers drug mart and even though the quality is good, I look like a dork and I feel like the sizing is too small! Like it JUST meets the minimum height requirements. I'm worrying so hard about it. I also have to wait for my rcmp certificate to get to me this week because the consulate wanted me to get a new police check and I decided to just get the darn fingerprints and be done with it!

Better a whelp than a whale then!!

I just went and got another set of photos today 'cause I am freaking out (a little).

Even got the flu shot. I never get the flu shot. But I have the medical and don't want any more stress....

I think all Canadian interviewees should form a cheering line in the week preceding their own interview.... We can all high five each other and share cliff notes....

Just called NVC. We have an interview date of 23rd December.

Now, I wonder how long it will take them to issue the Visa and get it to us. Mmmmmm. Am super excited. Once they get my file I might email and see if I can bring it forward although I am sure they won't. Still, worth a try.

Guess they are still scheduling.

My husband just called nvc and ask for an update, fortunately, we already had our interview schedule! I am sooo happy and i hope good things will keep on coming!?

I would say you need to get them to US and enrolled before the longgggggggggggggggg Christmas break,. That they can understand.

Visa issued same day? No If not whats the waiting period? Your visa will usually not be issued the same day. You will be required to leave your passport with the embassy and it will be posted back to you with your other documents once the visa has been printed. You can elect to have the Visa returned via Toll Couriers which requires signature, alternatively you can supply at your own cost, a self-addressed 3kg Express Post envelope. Once the Consulate has received all pending documents and your application is approved for issuance, your visa will be issued and mailed to you. Increasingly, next day pick-up or delivery is the norm rather than same day issuance of visa. Processing of the document return usually takes two to three business days

Yes, I will see if I can get an earlier interview. It is actually true about the children. I really want to get them into school.

If I can pick it up next day I will stay in Sydney overnight. I might email them and ask them once my file gets to them.
