I think this is where I belong now maybe. I got a case complete today. I specifically asked if they were still booking December interviews and she said yes. I'd love to sneak into a December interview, but i expect it will be January.

Congratulations. Welcome to the group.

Ok, I just panicked a little. Last month I had to replace my laptop and lost all my scanned documents of IV and AOS packet, IV I can replace most with copies and originals that I already have. BUT. I do not have copies of the entire AOS package :(

  • How important is it for me to have this at the interview? Do I need to have my co-sponsor fill out alll the forms again and send them to me to bring to the interview?
  • Do I need original tax returns/transcripts for the interview? (Im not sure which one) or are scanned copies ok? (I sent scanned ones to NVC)
  • My husband has not worked since 2011 and therfor has no tax forms. I provided a letter stating this at the NVC stage but reading reviews I'm worried they're going to ask for proof and I don't have any? My husband will be present at the interview.

Thank you in advance!

1.Whatever you submitted to NVC will be there for you. Many just have copies just in case.

2. No you don;t need originals. You already submitted everything.. Ling as your checklist doesn't state you need to being anything.

3. You already gave proof to NVC and got case complete. You have a sponsor correct? That's all you need to have done,. All was done at NVC.

When are they usually done shipping files to embassy after interviews are scheduled? I see that so far they have shipped files to only few countries.

Online status still shows "At NVC"

I have seen where peoples petitions arrived days before the interview. They all have their own schedule. Thats why what you see shipped may be anything.

Hi all, I had a question for one of my friend he applied for his wife and they have an interview at Islamabad Embassy this month. He is making more than $30K per year and AOS was accepted at NVC without asking for any co-sponsor. Their household size is 2. Is he going to run into an issue at interview that he needs a co-sponsor because he is only making $30K per year. I have attached I864p requirement and he does meet that poverty level for the household of 2.

He doesn't have a profile on visa journey and he seems extremely stress out that is why I am asking on his behalf. Please advise.

I don't even know what that is. Like they forgot half their address. Here you go. Also everyone should be visiting the info page here on VJ under your countries portal (consular information)and your countries embassy page for embassy specific things like Visa pickup fee. delivery fees.

He just need to pass 125% test... if he is really stressed out then find a joint sponsor.. complete and send another I-864 with backup documents to his wife.. just in case if they ask for joint sponsor .. :)
