dwheels,

I received an email yesterday with interview appointment letter. My wife is required to take following documents with her to the interview:

You must bring the following items to the visa interview:

Any original documents the NVC requested that you did not submit (refer to the document list below)

If the physician gives you your medical exam results, bring them to your interview in the envelope sealed

by the medical office.

Two passport photographs measuring 2 inches by 2 inches (5 cm by 5 cm) with a white background

A valid unexpired passport

Photocopies of all civil documents

A new police certificate from your current country of residence, if you obtained the police certificate more than one year ago.

Any additional documents listed in the U.S. Embassy or Consulate specific interview guidelines

We obtained police certificate in August this year so it will be only 4 months which means she doesn't have to take a new police certificate. Just wanted to double check and NVC already has original police certificate which will be forwarded to consulate.

Another question, my wife does not have any vaccination record so she will be getting them for the first time during her medical. I was reading somewhere that you need 2 doses of certain vaccines. I hope she won't be put in AP for not having 2 doses of vaccines. HAve you seen cases where they got the vaccinations for the first time during their medical and put into AP?

Please advise. Thank you.

For Vaccines, Don't worry my wife she have two doses too, and she got report already, doctor told her she can come back after interview mean while the doctor completed the report. but she need to go back for last two doses.

Your wife only needs the first dose to appease immigration: http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/laws-regs/vaccination-immigration/revised-vaccination-immigration-faq.html#novaccines

Hi dwheels,

Do you think it's a good idea to call the Embassy in Addis Ababa and ask about the dates they're working on? They still haven't scheduled my interview date. Thanks in advance!

Had an interview for IR-1 VISA today at the embassy in Paris and it was approved!! :goofy:

I was worried a little bit as there were some people before us who were rejected.

The CO was a young lady and she asked only some questions like:

"When was the last time you were in the U.S.?"

"How long have you been married?"

"Have you always been living together after your marriage?"

"Why do you want to go to the U.S.?"

I prepared many photos and things to prove "domicile" but none of them were needed at the interview.

The only surprise was that a chronopost envelope that I purchased was not even needed. They changed the systems in October and I guess that is only for people who reside in Portugal.

At the end, she said "Felicitation (Congratulations)" and that was it. :dancing:

Finally our long journey is about to end. :)

I am slightly confused now with the interview just being 1 week away

I read someone's interview review from yesterday (for Frankfurt, also CR-1) and he mentioned that he had to bring a large envelope with prepaid postage, so the visa documents would be sent back to him.

But I registered on ustraveldocs last week and it said this in the overview: "You do not have to pay for this free delivery service; no extra fees are associated with this service."

I am kinda clueless right now. Does anyone know if the embassies got rid of the prepaid postage requirement? It's not mentioned in the current interview checklist (Aug 2014) anymore.

Oh my, I can't for these sudden panic attacks about the interview to be over :bonk:

So this is what it will say when it's sent to the embassy?

Yes, you can try track you case if you read the first post

Mine says the same thing... :dancing::dancing: I'm also going to try to get an earlier interview...

YAYY. I'm going to start emailing and asking for an earlier date, by the time they read the email my case will most likely have arrived! :D
