Yeah me too. I would be seriously disappointed if I don't get a December interview but I should do. They are still scheduling. I am just panicking.

My husband is going over to Whidbey Island for Thanksgiving. Will be his last one without us.

Crossing my fingers you get an early date and hear soon!

Are you planning on settling around Seattle?... We bought on Bainbridge Island (love Whitbey Island though). Kids must be pretty excited about the impending move (as much as teenagers can show excitement).

On the home stretch....

Trust, but verify!

These are the packages that are sent out from NVC people like to track. thats all. Once you have interview and find out when your petition was sent out some like to track.

Read the first post please.

dwheels,

I received an email yesterday with interview appointment letter. My wife is required to take following documents with her to the interview:

You must bring the following items to the visa interview:

Any original documents the NVC requested that you did not submit (refer to the document list below)

If the physician gives you your medical exam results, bring them to your interview in the envelope sealed

by the medical office.

Two passport photographs measuring 2 inches by 2 inches (5 cm by 5 cm) with a white background

A valid unexpired passport

Photocopies of all civil documents

A new police certificate from your current country of residence, if you obtained the police certificate more than one year ago.

Any additional documents listed in the U.S. Embassy or Consulate specific interview guidelines

We obtained police certificate in August this year so it will be only 4 months which means she doesn't have to take a new police certificate. Just wanted to double check and NVC already has original police certificate which will be forwarded to consulate.

Another question, my wife does not have any vaccination record so she will be getting them for the first time during her medical. I was reading somewhere that you need 2 doses of certain vaccines. I hope she won't be put in AP for not having 2 doses of vaccines. HAve you seen cases where they got the vaccinations for the first time during their medical and put into AP?

Please advise. Thank you.

I did schedule the biometrics and medical for the same day and yes landing on one day before the interview, It's next week, I'll let you know how it ends up working out, but it seems pretty simple, the medical will be at 6:00 AM will definitely be done no later than 11:00 (as I was told by the clinic) and the biometrics scheduled for 1:00 pm and will pick up medical results between 2:00 and 4:00 PM and ready for the interview the next day. We did it this way because I really wanted to be in Ciudad Juarez with my wife during this whole process and there was no way for me to get out of work on Tuesday, we will fly on Wednesday, biometrics and medical on Thursday and interview on Friday, it all sounds good and looks good on paper, we'll see if all goes as smoothly as planned, I sure hope so.

OH and hey Congrats on your CC and interview date, you will be in Ciudad Juarez in no time at all.

Hey, thanks so much for writing back! Please let me know how it goes, whether on here or through a message. I really appreciate it!

Good luck to you and your wife. I know she will do just fine! :)

Hi Samreen, so good to see you on interview thread. Congratulations on your CC. I think many consulates accept them for one year from the date of issuance. For PCC, we will be hitting 6 months in mid-Feb 2015 so I think we should be okay. But I just wanted to double check, don't want to take any chance.

I was looking at this on NVC website regarding PCC:

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

Important: Police certificates expire after one year, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued.

Btw, do you have an interview date yet?

Just a quick update for the group, my husband Steve's visa was delivered today from the US Embassy in London. So happy!!!

I have to say that dealing with the London Embassy was the easiest part of this whole process and paying the $165 USCIS fee was also quick and painless.

Embassy Timeline:
Interview Date: November 3rd - Visa APPROVED!!!
Courier Email: November 4th
Delivery Date: November 5th - we choose the home delivery option
Point of Entry: November 19th - Chicago, IL

Good luck to the rest of you waiting for your interviews to be scheduled and or completed! Best Wishes!!
