Hoping to get our interview date early next week. All of our paperwork is with the Embassy in Sydney. The sooner the better since we'll have to book flights from Brisbane. etc. :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :D

Hi Olives24.

1. How do you know all of your paperwork is in Sydney?

2. Do you think we can get the medical before receiving the interview email?

Hi all,

I have a question. My wife had an old passport before marriage with a maiden. She got a new passport after marriage with because she has now my last name. She misplaced her previous passport. Is it going to cause a problem at interview? Will she be questioned by CO?

She has never travelled on her previous passport. She will be using her new passport for travelling and petition was filed based on her name that is on new passport. Also send biographic page of her new passport and her DS 260 has her new passport information.

Thank you.

Nope I don't think so. Specially since she had never travelled. They are just interested in the new passport and that name matches exactly as on the form. Nothing else. A lot of ppl don't even make passports till they are traveling. So she doesn't need to say anything neither would they ask her :)

Hey,

I got an email from NVC telling me that my case has been immediately handed over to the Embassy. This is due to our expedite being approved. I also check our status on the site and it states our visa is "in transit" and no longer at "NVC". I also checked the DHL tracking and found a package delivered to the Embassy which lines up with our case complete date.

You can definitely get the medical done before you get the interview email since it's good for 3-6 months. This is more than enough time for the interview to take place.

Hello all,

This is my first ever post! I'm a Brit with an American wife who filed a spouse visa on my behalf. I live in the UK she lives in the states. We filed in April 2013 I've seen her twice since then and it's been the most mentally difficult thing I've ever had to go through (and still going through).

But after 20 extremely long months apart I have finally got my interview scheduled for the 16th of December at the US embassy in London. I had my medical at Knightsbridge about a week ago, I was told that if they don't contact me in the next few days all is well.

Yesterday I had a call from the physician telling me they are referring me to a psychiatrist because they have concerns about my alcohol consumption! At the time of the medical I told the physician that I drank on average 5-6 pints per month. Regardless of whether or not I think that isn't that much to drink per month is irrelevant as I don't think have a choice.

This is causing me extreme stress and worry.

Has anyone one had any experience with being referred due to alcohol consumption?

Thank you

I have a qs. My friend just had a interview at Tbilisi embassy and they asked her if she travelled at US travel docs. She had not. She was telling me to do it before I go. Is it mandatory to do? Did anybody else had this experience?

Hi all.

Looks like our case was expedited and shipped to the Paris Embassy on November 26th.

I'm unsuccessfully trying to track the package using the Youtube Tutorial (

).

Should I be typing EXP26NOV2014A into the Shipper's Reference box?

I think he was probably concerned that this process is only causing you to drink 5-6 pints per month. That's roughly the number of wine bottles I've been going through weekly.

5-6 pints per MONTH and they are referring you to a psychiatrist?!?!

I'm sorry but that is a disgrace! Even if you drank 5-6 per WEEK that shouldn't be much of an issue never mind per month I really can't believe they have done that!

Thank you Samreen for your answer that puts me at ease :) I have a question for you since you have an interview on December 8th. Have you seen any status updates for your case at CEAC website after it reached embassy? Because I am seeing the same date when the case reached Islamabad embassy, no changes.

What does she mean by US travel docs? Does she mean the website where applicants register their interview?

Ny case status says 'ready' since last week. And yeah she means something like that. They asked her at interview if she was registered. She said I have no idea about it. She was shocked that she didn't know cuz we follow VJ religiously  it can never fail us!

Yes, it will say 'ready' till your interview day. There is a status updated date in the same screen. Has that date changed or its still the same you saw the first time?

If I am recalling it correctly, I think US travel docs is not for Pakistan visa applicants. Dwheels or any other applicant from Pakistan, please help on US travel docs regustration for Pakistan visa applicants. Thank you.
