How long does a file take to arrive to a consular office once the case is completed?

Maybe a week or two all depends on the embassy.

All you can do is call NVC usually after a week. You were scheduled last week call like Friday and see. Once they tell you when they sent you can track with DHL. Or better yet just follow your status on the ceac site.

Every embassy sends out differently.

I have noticed that some embassy hold a while.

Ugh :@ CEAC site still says "AT NVC" Can I ask the embassy before it arrives?

Hiya,

I think it's best to wait until the embassy has received your documents. I emailed the consulate in London to request an earlier date and they replied back today saying they have not received my documents yet.

So I guess we have to wait for our beloved NVC to send the docs before contacting the embassy.

Good Morning/Afternoon everyone -

I just wanted to share with the group that my husband Steve's visa was approved this morning at the US Embassy in London. Our case is now in "Administrative Processing" and the officer said the visa will be ready next week. He's still currently in London with a dead iPhone so he will post his review of his experience in the next day or so. Thank you all for your support and best of luck to you all. Cheers!

Why would you be nervous? If you have good evidence why are you concerned? You have to be confident in what you submitted. I would only be worried if I didn't submit good viable evidence that showed I was in a bonafide marriage.

The updates can be anything from background check, to neighborhood check to verifying your email, Facebook, phone number. Whatever they need to check. They are drafting up what questions they want to ask you. If you have red flags this is where the questions might be.

If you are confident you should have no issues in any question thrown at you. Trying to take the scary out of this because it isn't. They are preparing for an interview just like you are that is all thats going on with updates.

I called NVC today and our interview will be on December 15th, 2014.

Hello, Our case got completed on Dec 30 over the phone, how long you usually got an complete email? And when they will schedule the interview? Will I get a interview in december?

Okay when did you get case complete? And what category are you you have F1 which is a student Visa. Hard to help you with no timeline. and wrong dates.

ok ….just finished reading all 16 pages for the december interview thread…took me some time….

The interview is on Dec 8 and starting to compile all the paperwork for the interview. I realized like Ketsuban, I followed my lawyers advice when submitting for I-130 and didn't submit pics etc for our relationship, just the required documents. So making a thick folder of our travel through the last 2 years from Montreal-NYC (we visited each other every other weekend)…lots of $$$$$$…photos, bank accounts, credit cards, living will etc. Hopefully the CO will give us a chance to submit documents there, IF NEEDED. Who knows!!

I still have to do the medical, rent out my apartment, give official notice at the job, sell everything at my place, close all accounts.. Damn….this is becoming crazzzzy!!!!

Does anyone know if NVC still schedule cho december interview???

Yes they are for many of the embassies. Have you called NVC. Every embassy has their own start dates and such. You need to call if you want to know or just wait around and see if you get an email.

No have no timeline or anything I need to add you to spreadsheet what is your case complete date.

Dweels76, I can't find Nov interview thread.

Why do you need to find the November interview thread? It's locked. We lock the previous month and move forward if you want to post anything approval questions its here. We are like the NVC filers thread we move forward. This keeps all conversations in one thread so people don;t have to be all over the place.

Won't do any good because they don't know who you are . But heck send off an email to them. Maybe by the time they read they may have something. I would get the medical done asap and that will be more ammo for you to say we have compketed medical and would like an earlier date blah blah.

Same here. So I just printed out our itineraries, gift/purchase receipts etc. That alone should be around 3 inches of paper sheets Not sure if it all fits into my folder

During the USCIS/NVC process I was thinking time couldn't fly fast enough. But now it's like, wow, my interview is next week and damn, I am not done organizing all the relationship evidence yet

question. my husband is in Jamaica as the beneficiary. i received the P4 email. are they going to ship him a copy to his PHYSICAL address provided? or does he have to print it out through email so he can take a copy for his medical exam?

Nothing comes in the mail from NVC if they have n email. The email has a PDF letter print in color he takes that to medical and interview.
