I have hope and confidence that early February is going to be our month for NOA2. This is also based on timelines and a lot of faith.

I will be in London showing my Fiancee around the city on Feb 19th 2007 so that she doesnt get lost when i'm not there. Also taking more photos for ongoing relationship.

She would be going back to London later for medical and interview

Thinking ahead now, we may get a case number by the end of Feb, what is the wisdom of this Forum as to obtaining a medical befor a case number is issued. Is it do-able? :help:

I cannot change the date for my lightning (arrive saturday, leave Tues morn) visit back to the uk.

Thanks in advance for your constructive comments.

I don't know if it's do-able or not, someone else will come along with an answer to that. All I have to offer is... another medical will be required for AOS. The medical in London will be valid for one year, so if you file for AOS within a year after the London medical there's no need for a 2nd medical in the States. Because of this, I personally suggest waiting the extra time to get the medical done when scheduled so you have that extra time that it'll be valid to include with the AOS packet. You never know what delays could come up between now and filing for AOS. Hopefully none, but this visa process is unpredictable. My fiance and I both hate doctors, particularly physicals, so any way to avoid having to do a 2nd one... we'll do!

Medicals cannot be done until the consulate sends packet 3 to the beneficiary.

In other words, not until your service center has approved the case (NOA2) and NVC has passed the file onto the consulate.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

You can't get the Medical done in advance. You can have some vaccinations done in advance. But the Medical exam is performed only by specific Doctors. You'll need the appointment letter that comes from the Consulate in Packet #3 to present to the Doctor when you arrive. Otherwise, they won't make the appointment. Until your case is approved by USCIS, the foreign Consulate has no knowledge of you.

You can't go for a medical without AT LEAST a case number from NVC... some panel physicians don't need to see Packet 3 from the embassy/consulate.

What you can do in advance is get the immunization record together. See the scanned image below for a list of vaccinations required (this is from the Package 3 sent to me). Note that vaccinations aren't necessary for K-1 but is necassary for AOS later, so you might as well get it all now--I heard they are very expensive here in the US.

If you don't have a vaccination record, you can get blood titre tests done to check what antibodies you have (tests can be done for MMR and Varicella--you will have to get your Tetanus shot redone as this can't be detected on the titre test--check with your doctor to see what other antibodies can be checked).
