No Votes for Dems or Repubs Until They Fix Unfair Treatment Towards USCs filing for the Spouses Abroad

It comes as no surprise to see illegals who believe that once they get inside the border, that they have a right to stay. Anyone who tries to remove them must do so with violence. Fair enough. As they wish.

Where would the U.S. be if we all decided to do this process like the illegals are?

Can you link to this? It's too hard make sense of it the way it copied and pasted.

I'm a bit confused by the replies over there. That is a forum for the waiver process, the best one on the internet. Those are people who are doing what the law allows to overcome conditions of admissibility. Lot's of them have a spouse that entered illegally, but they are using the existing process to become legal. I don't understand why their replies sound like they do. Those people are all waiting a long time to go through the process too. They aren't getting to the front of the line.

Exactly!!! And not only is it for people who had spouses who entered the U.S. illegally it is also for people to overcome other inadmissibilities as well while illegals don't have to worry about any of this stuff. They have no intentions of correcting what they did wrong and many of them are about to get a chance to skip the line we are waiting in and get amnesty. Blows my mind!

There are lot's of illegals at that site, but they are in the process of attempting to become legal. There are many reasons for a waiver, not just illegal entry. I don't understand the hostile tone over there when they are actually following what the law allow, not asking for a free pass. Edited by spookyturtle

Don't forget: they're being actively encouraged to come by this administration's "policies". They're essentially being lured here by a dangled promise of amnesty (by decree, and against the wishes of the public). Thanks, O'bama. :ranting:

I am not falling for the trap of linking policies and enforcement of undocumented workers and their families with the ineffective way family visas are processed. Two issues:

Small and Easy given the right attention : Shorten the times and improve the transparency to the process of allowing families to be united through legal means

Large and Hard:Dealing with workers and visitors not here legally

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

The preznit has unfortunately linked these two issues by gratuitously throwing open the borders to illegals while we 'patiently' wait in line.

Two problems, we cannot boil the ocean, why don't we simply ask for the petition and immigration process for relatives to be fixed independently? Politics are linking this issue, not rational thought

Who do we ask to simply fix the problem? How do you gain enough attention so that people will want to fix the problem?

Again, I work. I how I go and hold up a picket sign? Are you working? Can you hold up a picket sign 24/7? Other than this how can our issues gain attention?

Okay, so how do we change this to those of us who are doing the process legally are not forgotten?

By highlighting the absurdity of allowing illegals to waltz it unfettered, while making us jump through flaming hoops, in addition to waiting a year. That's how. Despite what Rob L may think, making the comparison of these two unfair immigration matters is important and very much to our benefit in bringing this to the attention of the general public.

But how do you bring enough attention to the matter? Sitting here on VJ discussing it but not taking action is meaningless. What important person do you know actually reads VJ? They could give a dime about us until they feel desperate enough to need our help. Until then, they are just going to do what keeps lining their pockets.

I've mentioned in other threads, I think the way to go is a) publicity, and b) maybe some advocacy group (similar to ACLU) that'll spend their own money to pursue this.

Ad a): why not contact the writer who did the NYTimes piece back in February describing how DACA was making us wait longer for our loved ones? Inform him/her that since that time, 70,000 people have crossed the border and been granted virtual amnesty by the preznit, while we sit on our hands and wait 'patiently' for our loved ones; our only fault was going through the proper procedures. Surely worth him updating the story (although, the Times, ya know; always busy protecting the narrative).

Better hurry.

Election in 2 days.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
