They are asking for your complete 2013 federal tax return that you submitted to the IRS, including all attachments and schedules, not just your W-2 that you got from your employer.

Best thing is to request a tax transcript from the IRS. That way you know what you are sending is complete.

Did you file a tax return for 2013? That means sending a form 1040 or 1040X or similar to the IRS. If not, was it because you didn't earn enough, or did you not realise you were supposed to?

You have to send them the entire file that you sent to IRS. If you did your taxes yourself on Turbotax or some other site they will allow you to log in and print out your tax return information. If you had someone prepare them for you they should have given you a copy of the file. It will be a thick packet, like 20-30 papers.

You can do that if you like.

It's much easier, though, to order your tax transcript from the IRS or download it from their website. It has all the important information, but it's much shorter.

The problem here may be bigger than that though, since the OP doesn't seem to fully understand what a tax return is.

You should start your own thread really. Maybe a Mod can split this off?

However, there are several possible issues. Knowing more about your situation would help. Fill in your timeline and provide it here.

- They may have lost your transcripts

- You may have sent the wrong type of transcript

- If you filed tax as married filing jointly, they may need to see the US citizen spouse's W2 and/or 1099 information. The USC spouse is the sponsor for the immigrant spouse, so the income needs to come from the USC. Possibly it can come from the immigrant spouse too, if you provide evidence the income will continue after AOS, I forget.

Read the RFE carefully, and if you need more advice, ask.
