with the 1 year extension letter and 2 year conditional Green Card, is that ok to travel internationally with passport, GC and 1 year extension document?

So, i was wondering how come that I have received 751 interview letter just 2 months after we send our joint 751. we all know they take forever to make final decision. I saw my lawyer today and here is what she told me - 751 usually takes 6-12 months. reason why we were called for interview after 2 months only could be that IO put a note 2 years ago during AOS interview to be interviewed again and when CSC got our packet and saw note in the system they just transferred case to local office.

So, now waiting one more week for this int and hopefully it will be end of this nightmare.

That lawyer's guess may or may not be right. You'll never know the way of their processing method...

Well, they can pick your file for interview randomly anytime. I've seen 1 CSC filer got interview date before Bio date in this forum. Their case was straight forward and very easy interview. As far as remember, they got pre-approved on the spot (official approval came apparently after bio) :) Don't worry too much and good luck :thumbs:

Please join the list. Let us know your sent date, receipt date on your NOA and Bio date. Is your interview date already set?

This seems a little different from the members timeline! They have 12/06/14 as the sent date not 12/05/14.

Hi all

we sent our joint 751 to CA center on 12/5, got 1 year ext and BIO in Jan.

Last week i got letter, interview appointment....... Freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive read all what i could find online, every single forum and web site.

wish us luck!

On their website still says We received your petition on December th 6th blah blah blah..no updates.....so confused

I just followed spring333's comment...

spring333, please correct if I got your dates wrong!

Hi guys I have a random question. Someone told me that USCIS looks into the applicants facebook and other online sources when investigating the case.

Is this true?

We have nothing to hide in our facebook but it's kind of creepy to think they would be looking to our profiles.

Have you heard anything about this?

We arrived around 1030 and were waiting till noon when IO called our number and told us we will be interviewed separately, first me then my wife (US citizen).

  • - rise right hand and say I swear...
  • name and dod
  • phone num
  • wife`s name and dob
  • her num - of course i didnt know her number nor she knew mine lol
  • address
  • where do i work/where does she work, what hours
  • model, year and color of my/her car
  • who is our insurance agency for car
  • who pays bills
  • do we have cable
  • date of marriage
  • what is major intersection close to our appt
  • do we have checking. do we have direct dep or checks
  • did we have vacation together
  • what is our old address
  • how many times i visited my country and why she didnt go w me
  • maybe few more questions but i dont remember.

IO officer was extremely nice and polite.

it took like 30 min then IO walked me out and took my wife. She was asked same questions.

We missed only one answer.

Waiting for final decision.
