My driving license expiring on end of March 2015. What do I do? wait for GC to arrive? or go ahead and renew with the letter I received. CA resident

You need to renew your driver license now since you can. Some states do not even honor the extension letter. I remembered a guy going through that headache during his ROC process. ROC (I-751) is not a walk in the park. Unless you are with the CSC. This process could take up to 6 months or even more. So like someone previously advised you, renew your license now. Thanks

USVI is US territory! so you should be fine however, you should take the expired GC and extension letter with you just in case! Enjoy your trip.

so they start working on December fillers

Not really... They just picked up 1 file for interview to send it to field office. And that field office is not so busy and got early slot, I think...

Nothing's happening to October filers yet here in ROC forum as of yesterday...

I decided to go ahead and get my passport stamped yesterday. I went online Thursday to see if there were any INFOPASS appointments available soon and there were so I just went for it. I'm just worried about having to carry three letters with us on top of green cards when we travel so felt better having the stamps in our passports. My mother often drives my kids back from visiting Canada and rather than giving her papers and cards and notarized travel letters it will be easier to just have the passport again.

It was also nice to have a little longer time added to the end so instead of expiring in December it is pushed until next March. I certainly hope to be done with this process by then but it is nice to have a little more of a buffer on the expiry date.

Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

Instead of choosing that I needed information on a case that was already filed from the menu before this list I simply chose that i needed information or other services. Then I just filled it in and got an appointment to "speak to an immigration officer" or something like that.

I did have to ask very nicely if she could stamp it and she said it depended but she looked at everything and told me to take a seat and she'd call me back up when they were ready. Took about 5 minutes. All of our passports are complete now and she kept the green cards which made me feel a little sad.
