Got NO1 1/5/2015 - Receipt number isn't working on Online Check tho

The receipt number on the NOA1 is not the same as the case number on your biometrics appointment letter. Read the NOA1 carefully, it actually says that once you receive your Biometrics appointment you will be able to check your case status online.

When you receive your biometrics appointment letter use that number to check your case status.

after NO1 - when should i expect bio metrics to be received? just curious.

It will vary depending on your local office and when they have appointment times available. I received my notice two days later.

USCIS - 40 DAYS
2012-10-30: FedEx delivered I-130 to Chicago Lockbox Mail Room
2012-11-01: NOA1 by email - MSC
2012-11-02: $420 (x3) debited from our account

No biometrics appointment letter as of yet.


I filled in to csc since dec 1st and have not received my bio letter. I called but the customer service was not positive at all. Tried to transfer to tier2, it says have to wait 500min. Ain't gon be worried. Livingitall4Godtohandle. Tired if worrying. Happy new year all n good luck!

Got a lawyer to do the I-751. Asked him about appointment letter a few days ago, he replied saying I should expect it 2nd or 3rd week of January.

Well, we finally got the biometrics appointment letter. Appointment date is Jan 16th. We STILL have not received the NOA letter with the extension. Has this happened to anyone else? Do I need to schedule an InfoPass appointment or do you think USCIS will send another (assuming they sent a first and it just wasn't delivered)?

What's your local office? Guam?

I'm wondering if it might have to do with the local office and how crammed they are. My local office is Los Angeles.. One of the busier ones to say the least. Still waiting on appointment letter over a month after NOA1.

Checked with my lawyer, apparently it's taking on average 3 weeks from NOA1 - Biometrics appointment letter, at least in LA. Holiday season doesn't help.

Can someone update the chart for me? I got my bio letter and its scheduled for 1/21/2015. Now does anybody know how to get an early bio since I will be traveling out the country on 1/17/2015. Any experiences here??? I would really like an early bio instead of wait until I get back to the county on 2/22/2015. Just dont want to waste this month of time :/ Thanks in advance for any input!

Jay jay, I'm also going thru the same situation n I love here in California. It's just so annoying. I don't have any later tho but all I can do is wait till it comes. People that filled later than us had their bio over Roth already. Let me know if anything changes. Good luck.
