I-751 December 2014 Filers

Hello,

i would like to update my case to Approved, i had mail couple of months ago says that i need to submit more evidents, so i started collecting allot of things and adding new stuff with both our names, lastnight i got a text msg from the automated USCIS tool and says case updated, i checked the status and it said, New Card is being Produced, that means my card is on the way.

hello everyone,

I am lucky and unlucky at the same time, GC got approved but lost in mail. I have been reading it about long time, and contacted the congressman in my area. they took over the investigation with USPS and USCIS. it lasted for more than a month. And I am heading from the office that USPS is not taking responsibility and for USCIS to issue GC w/o charging fee, they need USPS's acceptance for this mistake. I don't think Congressman's office has any further access to make this fast. And I'll be paying the fees regardless based on my feeling.

So what should I do? contact USCIS?

or Start applying for replacement before that? Also, which forms do I need?

just pay fee and get your GC... you could go forever with post office and uscis. and congrats!

I agree, just pay the fees and get a new GC. Make sure that in the USCIS records the GC that got lost is marked as lost or stolen, so you don't end up with identity theft.

This reminds me of a book my husband ordered last year. We got a note it was delivered we never received it, that was June 20-th, 2014, and we received the book on June 19th 2015, exactly a year after we apparently received it. I might be off on the dates, but it was exactly a year without the day. We still laugh about it. I think the post office misplaced your envelope and God knows where they shoved it.

Hopefully you get your GC soon, on a positive note I am a Nov filer and still waiting on a decision, forget about going through the hassle of receiving the GC.

ah do not remind me! nothing yet. spoke to lawyer, she said they are extremely busy and from her experience ppl wait up to 6 months. however she said if they dont respond by today she will make info pass appt next week.

its almost 4 1/2 month and its not funny anymore..... but we are sitting tight and waiting.

Wow, this is just as sad as the fact all of my friends Nov filers are waiting for a decision. They should be able to tell you right after the interview whether you are approved or not, they don't need 6 months to decide. What are they going to do in these 6 months listen to a replay of the interview every day??? LOL

Hopefully the info pass appt will help, not that it did anything for me, but in your case might be useful since the appt will be at the local office where you had the interview.

most likely our case sitting in someones desk collecting dust until who knows........

i absolutely agree, after interview they know if they are going to approve or not....but well....what else can we do

Good news! :joy: My husband got his approval letter in the mail today! Application date 12/3/14...approval date 7/28/15. Yay! Hopefully more December filers will report approvals soon!
