I have my wife's argentine Certificado de nacimiento....

I read that you need the acta de nacimiento and not the certificado de nacimiento,,,, does anyone know if this is true, it may be a problem for us to get her acts de nacimiento.

Hola. Yes, you probably need the 'acta de nacimiento'. I had the same problem, only I was born in Dominican Republic but they did not accept the 'certificado', They call it the Long form Birth Certificate.

Was does the certificado that you have look like? Does it have the date, time, place of birth, and names and signatures of both parents?

She needs what we call partida de nacimiento. Was she born in the city of Buenos Aires? If so, it's trivial to get one online. If she was born elsewhere in the country it's still pretty easy to get one, you should call the local Registro Civil in case you have to make an appointment.

CR-1 (Argentina): April 2014 to March 2015.

ROC (VSC): March 2017 to March 2018.

We are in the same boat. Sent in the original Certificado de Naci and now I am questioning if that is correct or not. I hope they do not send everything back!!!

My husband made a request online and it should get here next week. We will just send it in via FedEx next week with the coversheet and a cover letter explaining what happened.
