Do I email the embassy to see if they have received our file from NVC as yet?

If so, which email address do I use the Non-Immigrant or Immigrant one?

If not, what do we do...just wait to hear from them?

You can check this website & look at the status of your immigrant or non immigrant visa.

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

it will tell you if your case is ready for your interview.

Just took a look at the Caribbean Regional Forum and found an Updated Jamaican Checklist for K1. For any questions of the embassy they list the Immigrant Visa email address as the one to use:

Good luck on your visa journey.

K1 visas are non-immigrant visas (valid for 3 months, no working, just for the purpose for coming to the USA to marry within 90 days)...however, they appear to be processed in the Immigrant Visa section, Therefore email the Immigrant Visa Department...confusing I know

Even with filling out the DS-160 the last part questions are way more detailed than a B2 visa questions
