...and we're not sure why.

We submitted all of our forms a month ago and just got them back with both checks attached.

On the I-130, there is an I-797C that says that we must sign the application in the signature block and that the application was missing some pages.

The confusing thing is, we're almost certain that this is not the case. All of the pages are signed, and we can't see any pages that are missing. We have the I-30 ( both pages, signed by the US citizen spouse), a signed bio page for the US citizen spouse, the USC's birth certificate, drivers license and our marriage certificate, along with passport style pictures of both of us.

The I-485 has an I-797C too, but it just says it was rejected because the principal application was rejected and so the processing of all riding applications cannot continue. The same for the EAD document.

Could anybody help me? We're not sure what to do when it seems like all of our documents are perfect, but they said there's an issue. The I-797C doesn't specify what pages are missing, or what's not signed, and when we called the USCIS they said they couldn't help us because they didn't know either.

Thank you!

with this type of rejection, the entire 'thing' submitted will be returned to you.

I suggest you wait up to 30 days for it to be returned.

Hang in there !

Thanks, but we did actually get the entire thing back! We're still confused though, as we can't see anything wrong.

Also I just noticed I should have posted this in the Adjustment of Status sub-forum, can I move it or would a mod have to?

Sorry!

Did you go to the USCIS.gov website to get the forms? Are they the most current version? Did you include the I-864--affidavit of support--with the I-485?

Good luck,

Dave

ok - give us a doc/form list on what you've included - lets start there with the triage.

Hi,

Have you submitted form G325a for you and the petitioner?

Check on your I-130 just to the right of Section E. There is no signature block exactly, just a blank space. See if that has your signature on it. A lot of people I know signed in section F instead, and it got returned for that reason.

Yes it was, that was the bio page. I included a G-325a for her in the I-130, and a G-325a for me in my I-485. Passport pics for both.

This is it. You need G325A for both of you to be attached with I-130. Not one with I130 and other with I485. Hope it helps. Good luck!

It does sound like that could be it. They probably didn't bother to look for the other G325A because it wasn't attached to the I-130. They have a habit of doing this kind of stuff though.
