The article said the guy was upset and acting out. Could be the kid was laughing at the guy for that.

Why would you and bolier assume the kid robbed him? Because if he did, he could call the police and have him arrested.

If that kid said anything that would incriminate himself, I'd call the police regardless.

I know. If the kid was part of the robbery, killing him wouldn't get his stuff back. There might be more to the story.

For all we know, the kid was in on the robbery. Or he and the killer had past bad blood between them. Just going off and shooting someone nine times.... seems more like a crime of passion or just another lunatic's dream.

I think the victim and the killer had past history. Hell the killer could have robbed the boy or someone the boy knew and he was rubbing the karma in the killer's face. If that's the case I would be laughing too.

That's what I thought. It was either the reaction to the robbery, or he was saying that's what you get.

I think we should stop at, there's no justification for shooting this unarmed teen dead. The jury will get an explanation from the shooter (if he provides evidence) and they will decide the degree of culpability but there is no justification for it at all and there should be no doubt as to that, none whatsoever.
