Sure, but you did suggest that scientists are irreligious and are on some sort of quest to disprove God.

I don't think the work of scientists represents any threat to religious faith. The two can co-exist.

You should go back and read our discussion on bananas. This is what I was teasing.

The potato comment was clearly to say and stress that people can believe in whatever they want to believe in. There are discussions all over the internet about humans evolving from apes and monkeys.

People are on here telling me something is wrong with me for believing in God over human beings and their evolution theories. Am I crying? No. No one in here is stepping up and saying they read the bible and the bible clearly states God created man.

I'm sure you have not seen me write anything on here about someone being a "heathen" for working in the science field.

I haven't suggested you are wrong. I don't have a view on your belief system at all. I am responding to the idea that creationism is a valid view. It is not. If you want to personally believe that the earth was created some 5,000 years ago and that everything just appeared ready made over a 6 day period and nothing can evolve, change or mutate, then that's your personal belief, if that's what you do believe, but that is a actually a dangerous point of view to have taught as fact. It's dangerous because it impedes the genuine learning process and makes humans susceptible to irrational fears and prejudice. That is not a good thing. That is not something that anyone should want to accept.

Can you provide some kind of link to a website that actually says something along the lines that humans evolved from apes and monkeys? Apes, monkey's and humans share a common ancestor but that is all.

It is better to have questions you can't answer than having answers you can't question.......

I suppose some context would have helped. You know the whole science thing about not knowing all the answers and the religious thing about having the answers but not allowed to question them etc. I was trying to be smart but I obviously missed the mark completely.

And yes when it comes to cars it does fall down a bit...
