It is definitely something. They are processing your paperworks!!! Congrats :) As for the service center, I believe people who file through Nebraska would eventually get their petitions transferred to California for NOA2 issuance. Sit back and relax, buddy! :D good luck with your journey.

Congratulations! Now you can join the obsessive compulsive checking-the-status-of-your-case-on-USCIS club! Getting NOA1 with case number is a great relief - welcome to the next step!

I would say keep your service center as Nebraska on this site. Though you know it went to CA, you did file through NE first, so you are technically still in the NE category.

Newbie,

There are some rules:

1) Although you won't get a NOA2 for between 70-90 days, you must compulsively check this website and the USCIS website.

2) Since you are now at the CSC, you must look at the people who filed at the VSC with contempt....their NOA2 is approved in about 30 days.

3) Waiting is a virtue, and you will become extremely virtuous.

Patience is required for this process.

I'd say to change it to California because that is where your case is.

We sent our application to Texas who forwarded it to CSC so I changed my timeline/settings to California.

You know the logical thing to do would be to distribute the cases more uniformly so that the service centers had closer processing times. I mean, if one service center is overloaded, you'd think they'd try sending more to the one finishing applications in 30 days. I wonder why this hasn't been done.
