Hehe, sorry. I got a dog & a job just before Christmas, then a Nintendo Wii just after Christmas, which has meant that I don't have as much time to cruse the boards now as I did before. :)

Hope everyone's well! :)

Hey guys! I'm having a fun week relaxing in the sun in California with my hubby. When we left Utah there was still snow on the ground. So this is a very welcome change. We're out here for us to check out the area, as his company want us to move out here. It all depends on how much they'll offer as a wage. So... we'll see. But we're crossing our fingers for good news.

Hi Every One

With all the blessings of ALAH i had an interview today at London consulate and they did'nt deny my application but they gave me a pink form which discribes that my application is suspendedand they will need '' addinational adminstrative check needed''.They guy was very nice and he aske following questions,

(A)how u met ur fiancee, which web site and when?

(B)have u ever had another passport?

©why she is not working presently(caz she is on california cash aid programme)?

(D)when u inted to tavel to US?

(E)have u visited Pakistan after comming to UK,(caz i m on student visa)?

(F)do u talk to her every day?

(G)when u met her for the first time?

(H)when she lef UK after visiting u?

(I)For how long she stayed with u?

My experience on the first window when they the chinee lady took my documents was the worse experiene of my life .I hvent met such a rude and stupid person in my life. When i were called on window one there was a chinese lady(i appologise if some one will take it wrong caz i m not a racest, caz u gu r going to decide after reading this that i m right or wrong)She didnt say hi or any thing but guess what ........she was angry with his collegue which was on nexe window closer to her.She smashed thesmall tripode which they use to take ur pic and scan it in to the pc.Then she threw pen on the wall and aksed for the finger prints. Then after checkin my docuents she told me i didnt send DS-156K,i said i did she looked at me fiercely ''NO U DIDNT'.Then she went somewhere and came back with the DS_156K forms, caz i already sent them to the embassy. Then she threw my sponsors tax returns on the glass towards me and kept only latest one. After depositing the visa fee i came bak she told me to wait.I realized that i dont have courrier slip i checked every thing then decided to go back and talk to her.I asked her i didnt have that courrier sli she said which slip,i explained again, she said (rudely)if it is important i would have given to u so wait for ur turn to be called for the interview and take ur seat......i swear to GOD i was really pissed off.I Cant imagine some one could have that much non professional apporoch.I have decided that even if they deny y application i wont let her go like that i will write a letter to the counslor and send him an email as well about that and i want some disclipinery action against her behaviour, and i will need u guys help and support caz i dont deserve tis for no reason, but at the end it worth to be calm c i just wanna be with my sweet heart.

Finally i want to know that is any body there got the same pink form about suspendd essage and what they will check.he tol me it will take 4-6 weeks and they will call me and tell me to send the passport to the embassy or will tell me about the denial(may ALLAH grant me the visa and for u guys as well).

Plz tell me that its approved or denied or what ............confussed lover

thanks for reading such a lenthy post and by the way that lady name was FING LEE..............B~~~~~~~~~~h

I'm doing okay. We moved down to Southern California last month. Which I would be loving if I could just find a job. Apparently I'm unemployable and the staffing agencies here don't give to f's about finding you work.

*sigh* I'll be doing better once I have a job and know that I can be saving for a Christmas in the UK.

It's more like they don't want to work at all. I'm actually thinking about calling tomorrow to make an appointment to speak to the branch manager. But I don't know what good it will do really, since my account manager is apparently the assistant manager. It just makes me sad that I really want to get a job. But they don't seem to care about helping me with that. It seems to be all about who you know here and what connections you have and my husband I pretty much have zero.

Oh well. Hopefully something will turn up soon though, right? *crosses fingers*

Thanks for the support, guys.

It took me about 2 and a half months to get my first job out here. But that was only because I was too stubborn to go to a staffing agency for the first 2 or so months. But then I gave in and joined one. The one I went to in Salt Lake got me a job after a week of being with them, so I guess I was spoiled by that. But it was a pretty fun job, mostly because the CMO was from Manchester. So we'd go off for lunch at least once a week to have a chat about the UK. I miss the job, but even if I was back in Salt Lake, that job wouldn't be there, since the company has pretty much caved in on itself due to lack of funding, asides from the CEO I was one of the last employee's let go (although technically I left, since I knew we'd be moving down here).

I'm trying not to let things get me down too much, but yesterday got me pretty frustrated. Walking to a different staffing agency and getting blisters on my feet and it being 95 degree heat in the humidity down here does not a happy Huffy make. However, we got reimbursed for a lot of the money we spent to move down here yesterday. So that does help quite a bit in lifting some of the burden off me for the meantime.

Oh well, back to the job-hunting I suppose.
