Sokay Tracy, I understand what you mean but I will take the date, I need that GC.

Hope everyone else waiting for their interview date hears something soon :)

Just popping in to say "Hi"....lots happening! As you can see from my signature, I got an RFE - my fingerprints were illegible and twice got rejected!

I had to get a Police Certificate from my local sheriff to show I have no record. I am now waiting to hear back as I was not sure what exactly I had to provide...

I also had a job interview this week! Wish me luck! It is a fantastic career job (if I get it) so I'm pretty nervous...

Congratulations Purple, hope it goes well. I agree with TracyTN too, I don't like that date because of the tragic event here ( I saw the clips of the movie based on it at the cinema earlier this month and boy I had tears in my eyes, just glad no one saw me crying) and also it's my ex partner's birthday. Hope you pass your interview anyway.

Well I finally got married on the 15th of July, everything well well except for one minor hiccup from me and no I wasn't late getting to the church :D I make my own jewellery and I made pieces for myself, the bridesmaids etc, placed them on the table, went into the bathroom to get my hair washed and so on and came out and saw the bag that had my jewellery pieces in missing. I was so annoyed with myself that I couldn't get married with it on. In a way I was glad because I had chosen that date on a very hot day, I got blamed for that because the weekend before and after was much cooler :blink::D Anyway, rest of the day went very smoothly, meeting friends here and both sides of the family was nice. Sunday morning, my new lovely mother in law was clearing up the table and saw this bag with some Thomas the tank engine videos for the kids, there was also a smaller bag in there, it was my wedding jewellery pieces at last. :) So we went outside, had our dresses and suits on and had photo's taken.

I'd show you some on here but I'm a little confused on how to get pictures up on here :( Help would be great.

Alison.

Had not checked in here in a while...this thread seems to move so slooooowly these days....

Good to read about the upcoming AOS interviews! And hey Kiki, good luck with the job interivew too!

It's been 144 days since Wes' AOS interview and still we have no greencard. It's bordering on the ridiculous. I almost wish we would get called for a second set of prints - at least that might explain the delay.

We always say that the rest of our visajourney went so smoothly that this is our 'hitch' now! Does anyone get through this process unscathed?

Hi, well as you know we have had our fair share of delays in the K-1 process but it seems it does not stop there, we received our Noa-1 for AOS and EAD on the 15th May and as yet ** all since, please inform me of my next move,I believe the best option is to have an infopass app to enable me to get a temp EAD,

Is this the wise and appropriate next step.

Regards Scotty

Scotty, I think it takes about 80 days to get the EAD. This seems to be the average from what I have seen. Mine took 84 days.

Sorry to hear of your long wait Rebecca - we are also a bit delayed at this AOS stage after everything else went really smoothly. My fingerprints were illegible so we got an RFE. I had to obtain a local police record.

Today I was touched...I am still a bit worried as I still am not sure if the Police Letter I sent from my local sheriff was exactly what they wanted in the RFE. Guess I'll find out soon! :(

Some good news - I was informed today that I got a job! I had the interview last week. It is for a teaching fellow position at the University of Virginia!!

Just hope I get the green card now. It would be kind of ironic if I don't!

Congrats, Purple!

Unfortunately, Scotty, I don't think there's too much you can do about the EAD until it reaches 90 days from your receipt. If it reaches that I believe you can make an InfoPass appointment and get a stamp in your passport for it. But I guess it doesn't harm to make an appointment if you've been waiting quite a while.

Not much has changed here, still not heard anything about the EAD and I'm about to start getting things together for the AOS interview next month.

WOW! That's super news! I'm really really tickled for you Kiki!

I don't think you need to worry about getting the card. But it stinks waiting doesn't it?

Maybe you are in Admin Review, I would say there is some kind of reason/problem after all that time!

Thank you Rebecca! I am quite amazed actually. I feel very lucky - at one stage I felt in a "hole" and couldn't see an end to this all. The college is great and so are the staff in the science department. I am very excited - I'll be starting work next week! I am also terrifed! :P

I hope that you and Wes do hear something very soon. The waiting in limbo is dreadful. I can't believe I have been here 8 months already! My AOS was held up by my fingerprints which were "illegible". I got an RFE for that and had to obtain a local police certificate. I am kind of nervous as I was unsure what to send back exactly. I know they have received it, so the waiting begins again...

Keep us posted - let's hope you hear something positive back real soon!
