I Know this has been asked before BUT cant find it :P ...........can anyone recomend a cheap not nasty hotel close to the Embassy please??

Well, we liked this one, even though another member here recently ruled it out because they thought it looked nasty. It is your typical european hotel (ie small narrow rooms) - we found it to be clean though older and LOVED the location - quiet Hyde Park. We did have a shower in our room that was recently renovated as well and were not charged extra for it. I think you if you phone them you will get a much better rate than listed on the web. We paid 75 in september, ensuite double.

Rebecca here. You file your AOS at the Chicago lockbox no matter where you live. In Ohio I think you will attend your interview at the Cleveland District office....I think....

Hmmm....not sure. We actually stayed there the night after the interview....we managed to find the place by rambling down Oxford, etc. - we had no fecking idea where we were walking - lol! There's a map on the website though. I know that walking FROM the hotel, you would walk down a couple of blocks along the corner of Hyde Park towards Edgeware, walk underground and come back up and then be on Edgeware. You would then walk up Edgeware past the Arch to the Embassy. I bet it's way less than a mile. It's literally right around the corner from Marble Arch. Also on TripAdvisor.com it gets several good ratings. I know that if we ever get back to London we intend to stay there again.

Yes! Finally I got a small amount of computer time.

The wedding was beautiful and seeing all of my new family again was great as well.

Now back to real life, blah! Work and kids and soccer practice and and and.. will it ever end?

Congrats to all of those who made progress while I was away.

C's SSN came in the mail while we were gone, as did my tax transcripts.. got a letter from my employer as well today to help prove income/employment.
