Jan is what i am shooting for. I am just making sure it is not messing up any processes to schedule the appointment ahead of time.

Actually package 3 is one of the necessary documents for medical exam, vaccination and at the interview. Make sure you schedule the medical exam before receiving package 3. So scheduling the interview now must be good for you. It will be out of dates soon I guess. Good luck!!!

Hi,

You mentioned package 3 is needed for medical exam, then later on you mentioned to schedule medical exam before package 3? so i can schedule the exam without package 3?

Thanks for your help.

Did you scheduled the interview by urself or visa National Visa Center? How come you know there's no more December left?

After paying for visa fee, the next day you will receive an email saying you are allowed to schedule the interview on website. When logging in the wedsite, the available dates will be showed up.

We are applying for K1 visa, I don't know about other cases though.

Hello, everyone!

I saw you can reschedule your interview date. How can you do this? Do we need to fill in any forms to reschedule? I haven't book an interview date yet but i saw it shows the first available day is March 4th now. We are so sad when it's 3 months away and I'm worried that i can't reschedule if i book it now. Could please give me some advices? And where can i check the interview available dates? And how long does it take to get a PK3 in mail? I just got an e-PK3 yesterday and finished filling the DS-160 form. Today i will go to pay for the visa fee and sending PKT3 to the Embassy. I hope you all can help me before i'm going to book an appointment. Thank you very much for any helps from you, friends.

Sincerely,

Hanh Luu.

After you schedule your interview, I would advice you and your fiancee to check the website at least 2-3 times a day. I think if you check too often the website maximizes the amount of times you use and locks your account for 1 day.

There is a button called "Reschedule" where you hit that and see if there are any earlier dates. It took us about 1-2 weeks to reschedule our appointment. It seems that they release earlier dates as there are cancellations.

I hope this helps you Hanh.

The Packet 3 may or may not arrive at all. We never got ours, though we were told that they had mailed it to us on 8/1.

Once you have the Packet 3 letter emailed to you, you're good to go. You don't need the actual letter. All you need is the HCM-XXXXXXXXXX number for med exam and vaccinations (which is also printed on the letter they emailed to you).

Thanks for your responses, friends. I already received the e-PK3 in my email and they said they have sent the PK3 to my address. Anw, I sent my PKT3 to the Embassy yesterday. I can't wait for more..hehe...

I can schedule my appointment now but i saw there still has 58 available on March 4th 2015. I wonder should i book now or just refresh the page to see if i have a luck. And do i have to cancel the appointment date which i booked before i reschedule, I'm worried that i'm not fast enough to get an earlier available date?

Do I need to book an appointment for my medical exam and vaccination or just come and start to do it?

We wish we could be together before Valentine day.. ?

Best,

Hanh Luu.

Once you get your appointment rescheduled, you can use the printout of the schedule as a proof of appointment to take to the medical center. For the vaccinations, you can get started at any point.

Rescheduling is not too complicated. I would not recommend hitting the refresh button many times because your account will get locked out. I would have each of you check at least twice a day (more likely to occur in Vietnam daytime).

Yes, it will tell you to cancel the existing appt first before letting you book another. And once it is cancelled (and there's no spot left on that day), it will not let you go back and rebook the same date (if you change your mind and want to go back to the appt that you had previously booked).
