Beneficiary moving to a different Country

My husband, the beneficiary, is currently living in his country, Egypt. When we filed for the CR-1 we planned on completing the process while he was in Egypt and interviewing at the Cairo Embassy. Now he has to move to Seychelles for work. This raises a couple concerns:

1) We are aware that Seychelles does not have a consulate for immigrant visa applicants so they have to interview at the Nairobi Embassy. This is the main source of our confusion/complication. Since he has to travel from Seychelles to interview anyways, can he still interview at Cairo?

2) If he can still interview at Cairo, Can he complete his medical before travelling back to Cairo or does he have to complete it once he arrives in Egypt?

Answers:

1. For an interview in Cairo to be possible, he will still have to have an Egyptian address that could be listed on the applicable forms. Another way an interview in Cairo can be possible is to make a request to the Embassy to have the file sent to them. However, there is no guarantee they would accept your request.
2. Medical would have to be done in Egypt.
