Hope someone can help out here, after my fiancee went through both days at St.Lukes and completing her medical exam

on the next day while waiting for her flight back to province she lost her X-ray's at the airport in manila.

She thinks she left them setting on the seat next to where she was sitting and when she got on plane the stewardess said she didnt have enough time to go back inside and get them.

What do we need to do about this ?

Are the xrays needed at all once the medical is finished or are they only needed for the medical report that is forwarded to the embassy for the interview.

I see where alot of people say they are never asked for the X-rays ever again so i am thinking its not really a big issue.

My fiancee was all upset and worried that because she lost them that it will cause us more delays, but i told her its no big deal.

My fiance just had his interview on Thursday, and they did not ask for his x-rays... just the medical report that evaluated his x-rays. I think you will be fine.

I am trying to remember if I ever needed the x-ray after the medical exam, and I don't think I took the x-ray to the interview or into Immigration at the POE.

Maybe you should call or email the consulate and ask what you should do.

I hope you can ease her concern. Like you , I haven't read or heard that they are needed again. they're not much than souvenirs of the process. never heard of them being needed at POE, which is why almost all posts I've seen about it says no need to hand carry them.

way back in 2004, i was told i needed that xray for my POE in case the officer asks for it. of course the officer never did but i felt better having it for my own peace of mind. i didn't want any "what ifs". there were a lot of people who had it with them too. that made me feel better. anyway tell your fiancee not to worry about it....or she can call the embassy just to make sure she doesn't need it. as far as needing/using it here in the U.S., i have never taken that thing out from my closet since i got here.

Lord blessed be Your name!

The important things is that the doctor already made a report or interpreted that film already and has forwarded it to the embassy. Even though the film is lost the doctors report is much important and what is needed to be seen. Only the radiologist will need these for future reference if there was finding, otherwise they wont need it.
