EAD Question ?

I just posted an EAD question and have one further question on the matter. Will I receive a SS number with the EAD card?

Upon receipt of your EAD , you will apply for your SSN.

I didn't wait for my EAD to get the SSN. I had thee temp EAD from POE (JFK) and that was sufficient.

I applied for my SSC 3 weeks after coming to usa and got it 2 weeks after that

You can get your SSN with your EAD but you have to do that yourself by going to the SS office and applying for one after you've gotten your EAD.

Go to your local SS office and apply. You don't need your EAD to do so, normally your passport will do just fine.

Only if she came in on a K1 and her I94 has more than 14 valid days left on it. Otherwise she will have to wait for her EAD. IF she came in on a K3 then she will have to wait for her EAD.
