F-1 marrying a Permanent resident

Am new in the forum, i´ve reading the post of the forums, and i have a question:

My fiancee is a permanent resident, and am going to apply to a student visa and study there a associative degree in IT for 2 years, when we get married in US, i could apply for a change of status and get a permanent residency too? or how is the deal?

Your spouse can file an I-130 for you, and then once the priority date became current you could file for AoS if you were in status and had never been out of status, but that will be a couple of years out.

*How much time takes to get the date and the visa number?

*After i get my AoS, can i apply for a EAD?

It may be difficult getting a student visa if your fiance is an LPR, you need to have really strong ties to your country. If you are in the US when your PD is current, you are able to adjust status.

It's taking about 2 years for F2A, for the PD to become current, at which time you can submit your AOS application if you are inside the US. You can apply for an EAD along with the AOS.

If your would be spouse becomes a USC before your PD is current and you are in the US, you can apply for AOS right away at that point and wouldn't need to wait for the PD to become current.
