If this weren’t a family-friendly website (is there even such a thing?), we’d go ahead and post Andrew Kennedy’s raw video shot earlier this week at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, where a man hurling anti-gay epithets attacked another at Gate C30. It’s easy enough to find on Reddit and Raw Story or YouTube, among other places. But it’s no less powerful stripped of the hateful language.

The video speaks for itself, edits or no: One man attacked another, and a crowd of passengers, aided by airport law enforcement officers, stopped it almost the moment it began. The attacker continued hurling his insults at all comers — even police, even after he was restrained. The incident is violent: One of the men trying to stop the attack appears to break his ankle at around the 1:22 mark. The sound is sickening.

For now, at least, all we know is what Kennedy posted. When asked to confirm its authenticity, DFW spokesperson Cynthia Vega says. “Yes, it did happen, and yes, there was an arrest.” We do not know the name of the man taken into custody. Vega is not even sure when it took place: Wednesday or Thursday. We sent the videographer some questions via Facebook earlier today, and await his reply. We have also asked for the police report, and will update when it is made available.

Well 4 untrained civilians including a guy about 65 did the takedown and incapacitaion while the cop was calling for back up.
