CEAC status - READY

NVC shipped our case to London on Tuesday and today the status on CEAC changed to READY. It says "your case is ready for interview when scheduled at the US Consular section". Will London now contact me with what to do next? Can I book my medical and submit my DS-160 now that London actually has my case or do I have to wait until I hear from them?

You'll receive a letter that's known as "Packet 3" on here (an old name). Essentially, it tells you that London has received an approved petition for you and that you need to complete the DS-160 (the actual visa application, as opposed to the petition that your fiance completed).

London won't schedule an interview until they've received three things for/from you: medical results, completed DS-160 and notification of applicant readiness. Personally, I wouldn't schedule the medical or complete the DS-160 until you've received "Packet 3." That's solid confirmation that London definitely has your file and your medical results and DS-160 (when completed) can be matched up with that file, rather than potentially languishing in a pile somewhere waiting for an approved petition.

Have a look at the guide for London K-1s (see link in my signature). There are some things that you can do while you wait for confirmation that London has your file. Most of the guide is still up-to-date - otherwise, any queries for the next stage of the process can be addressed in the UK regional forum as each consulate is slightly different.

Good luck!
