Hi all, would appreciate any help with this question.

I have a valid US visa up until December 2015, however my passport expires June 2015. I know the visa doesn't get physically transferred, and you are meant to take your old passport with the valid visa when you travel. But i am trying to decide when best to renew my passport around a potential trip home to the UK at xmas.

If I try renew now, i risk not getting my new passport back in time to be able to go to the UK.

If i leave it with the intention of renewing when i return, what are the implications? Will it cause problems? If for example they only admit me into the country up until the passport expires in June, but i then renew the passport, do i still need to leave the country before June?
