Went in for my interview today at the Hartford Ct office. My appointment was for 10.45 but the office was running a little behind so I didn't get called in till 12. The officer was very nice and professional and went through my application first . She looked through my passports to verify travel dates. Asked me all the questions in my application again. Than she had me take the writing reading and the civics test. It was all very easy and she approved me. I asked to be scheduled for oath after June 12 as I am going on a trip until than and she said that wouldn't be a problem and said she will mail me an oath date in June and I should receive it by the end of this month.

He can't approve if you your background check isn't completed. He could have just sent you home and told you that you'd get a new letter for a new interview time, so it's a good thing that you got to do your interview.

He's waiting on a clear background report before he can approve you. This may take several weeks or months, but make sure that if it's been more than a couple of months, you go talk to them again.

Hi , was your previous status in line for oath scheduling or it changed straight from the interview? Also if it was in the line when did you get status changed after interview?

No went straight from the interview. No status around being in line.

Hi,

Does anybody know if the interview would be scheduled in order of file date or fingerprinted finished date?

Neither. Interviews are scheduled when they are done processing your application... if you apply earlier than someone else, then odds are that you'll get your interview first, but that not necessarily always the case. If it takes them a long time to schedule your biometrics then you'll slip behind others who applied after you. If you do your biometrixs early, your background check may take longer than others.

So I guess he answer is that generally, both dates affect your application, but sometimes someone at the same office who applies after you and does biometrics afrer you may get his interview before you.

Thank you,

I've received an yellow letter very early like on 12/02/14, does that mean nothing for their processing procedure?

My first biometric was done 12/11/14, and second one was 1/14/15 since the 1st one was not successful, and in line for interview scheduling process on 1/16/15.

So my case could be processed depending on this in line .... Date, couldn't it?
