Got my Interview done yesterday on Feb 26th. It was pretty easy and I was done in less than and hour. As I have travel plans in less than a month I took the chance to request the Immigration Officer to expedite my Oath ceremony. She had me wait for 30 mins and came back with my Oath scheduled for March 19th. San Antonio is where I went and unfortunately they don't do same day Oath ceremonies like other cities.

Good luck for your interview. when did you receive your interview date? im still waiting for mine, send to dallas lockbox but i will be taking my test in the memphis office.

It was pretty fast.. Details on my interview dates and timelines are mentioned in my signature. They will send you an In-Line notification first and in a week or two after that they send you your actual Interview scheduled date latter in mail, which is usually a month or few weeks after. This can vary on processing times as well. Some sites that are not too busy are able to schedule you much quickly. I sent my paper work to Dallas Lock box and they were pretty good. I had my interview in San Antonio.

Dear, Bostonian mates i had an interview today, was easy it took only 15 mins the IO was kind and easy ... my result was say "you are recommended to be approved" if you read my post ... just so you guys Bostonian know nothing to be worried.... I even went there on my own.

Dear all,

I had my interview less than an hour ago and approved !! :-) It was easy like everyone says but I feel the stress when a test is involved !! So read the questions and answers over and over agian :-) After going in, I was asked to take oath, the gentleman verified information, asked questions, one line reading and one line writing and after that I answered the first 6 questions right. Given a congratulations sheet and told I will be called for the oath.

One tip:

When he asked if I have any questions, I asked if I need to inform anyone if I travel international before the oath ceremony. The answer is "no". Just travel on the existing passport and be back before the oath ceremony.

Just a minor point: the officer is right that you don't have to call or tell anyone about travel before the oath BUT the oath letter has a questionnaire on the back that you will have to fill out and it includes a question about your travel since the interview. So make sure you keep track of your international trips.

Depends on your local office and how busy they are. Some people have got calls a couple of days after the interview asking if they could attend ceremonies the following day. There wasn't even time to mail a letter. Some people have got letters five months later. Most people seem to take their oath 1-3 months after the interview.

i don't believe this!!!!! my interview got rescheduled AGAIN because of the weather!!!!! i had an interview on january 27th, got a call that because of weather it's being rescheduled to march 5th(tomorrow). just got a call saying that it's rescheduled to next week friday march 13th!!!!!! this is ridiculous!!!! UGH!i honestly thought i would be all done with this january 27th.

Sorry to hear that man. You were one of the first one to be schedule in the November batch on this thread and you still haven't been interviewed. Well let's say maybe you might be lucky getting an oath the same day.

Checking with you all. After passing the civics test on my way out the USCIS gentleman handed over an envelope with a form to apply for passport.

I am assuming I give in the applicaiton for passport after the oath ceremony and getting the naturalizaiton certificate. Am I right?

Hello everyone

Does the Phoenix field office does oath ceremony the same day as the interview? Has anyone done this at this field office?

I have 1-130 petition filed for my wife and I really need to be citizen as soon as possible to make my petition priority date to be current.

Will the USCIS officer be convinced if ask for the same day oath ceremony?
