I just assumed that, with my SSN, it would be simple enough for the IRS to tell USCIS that my taxes are up to date, as part of the general background checks. But I'll take my tax papers and anything else that might be pertinent anyway, just in case.

Yes. I did my bio at the end of December, and I've heard nothing. My field office is not too far from me, so I've made an appointment to go see them on Tuesday. They might tell me nothing, but I thought it's worth a try.

Hey All,

I received notification that I was scheduled for an interview on 1/27/15 and that a letter has been mailed out with the date and instructions. However, today is 2/8/2015 and still no letter. How long should I wait before contacting USCIS? Is anybody else in the same boat? I am concerned because I do not want to miss the interview ... it seems that all the interviews are about 1 months after receiving notification of scheduling.

My online status also suck on the 1st of December, i did my Bio and so far its been two month and no update, I hate San Francisco office, they are so slow. I wonder if we have to go and ask at the office regarding the status!!!

Yes, I would love to visit the local field office just not sure how effective that would be (the process time for the SF office is 5 months) yet, maybe in my case, I can open an Info Pass after April 15?

I am not sure if going to the San francisco Office would make a difference. I have not received anything since early December. I have to deal with that office a couple of times, not very helpful. they might put your file to the bottom of the pile.

Updating Ozma - finally received the interview letter! Kind of intimidating - they wan't you to bring a whole bunch of documents ... (again) at least according to the form letter that gets send out with your interview notification.

Hey guys got a text /email lastnight saying that my interview has been scheduled. I'm going to assume that it's probably a month from yesterday's date- its time to start studying.. Will update my timeline when I receive interview letter. Hope the rest of you get an update soon!

I went to my InfoPass appointment today at the Washington Field Office. I was told that my case is still at the National Benefits Center, but that it looks like it's in the next batch waiting to be forwarded to the Field Office. After the Field Office gets my case, they'll be in touch about the interview.

Apparently, it's completely unpredictable when the NBC will send a case on to the Field Office. It can be just days after the biometrics are taken, or it can be anything up to 3 months after. No one can tell.

For those of you still waiting, there is hope! But if you want to check on your case, I suggest you take a look at getting an InfoPass appointment at your office. The immigration officer I just saw at the Washington office was very helpful.
