I have a question about interview schedule. Do USCIS schedule interview after the 90 days period or it can also be before the 90 days period?

I assume you're asking about the 90 day early filing period. In most cases, actually in almost all cases, your interview will be scheduled only after your eligible to become a citizen (meaning after your three-year or five-year green card anniversary). However, in rare cases you can be interviewed before this anniversary, but they cannot approve your application before the 90 days are up. In such cases they will put on hold until after your anniversary and then approve it. Also, some offices will refuse to interview you if you are accidentally scheduled for your interview before your anniversary; for example there are several cases where Houston scheduled an interview a couple of days before the anniversary and when the person showed up for their interview, it was rescheduled and they were asked to come back a week or two later.

Thanks, My 90 days period ends on February 5, So I am assuming that I can go to Canada for 15 days in January. I am in dilemma whether to take this trip or not.

hey guys...I have receive he yellow letter last week,n they ask me to bring aerwork that show we file tax togheeter but we neva did before..guys I need ur advise

Put together all your U.S. tax papers, take them with you to your interview, and be ready to explain why you and your spouse never filed your taxes together.

How did you file taxes? Married filling seperately ? Single filer?

You just have to prove that you filed taxes as a married couple .

@VJVasi i opened the book for the first time yesterday they gave me at the biometrics. i had my husband test me without studying and honestly, most of it seems to be general knowledge. the history part of it espeically. i do have to say that the current events(name of house reperesentative etc) i need to brush on :/


i do have a question. i was asked to bring my joint tax returns with my husband. i just simply went on the irs website and had them mail the transcripts to me, is that good enough or do i have to take the huge stack of tax papers to show our joint filing?

Hi, I would take the transcript that comes in the mail, rather be safe than sorry :) Meaning take as much as possible
