17/20 :P

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

20/20...

Not too shabby.

Next week's test on math, however, entirely depends how the question is phrased and how applicable it is to real life -- for me at least. If I have some sort of psychotic formula and equation, with no real world application for it, then I'll just look at it and go "huh?" If, on the other hand, the math problem actually has a use in the real world (and it is presented that way), then I can do it just fine. I think most people are like that. After all, most of us have very little difficulty working with "money math." Why is that? It has a very real world application to it and it matters to us. Most people won't really care about "x's" and "y's" a whole lot. :P

I got 18/20. The long-lost brother stumped me, but I'll blame it on the two words being on separate lines. I'd have caught it had they both been on the same line, rather than wrapped.

I don't remember what the other one was.

I suck at maths, so I shall likely fail miserably next week.

20/20. I have an English degree, so if I hadn't done well, I'd be in trouble! But math may definitely be an issue for me. I need to be sure to follow up next week to see if the math quiz has been posted! Thanks, Luz. This was fun.
