We have the long wait ahead us also. Both my wife and I have good and bad days. At the ages we are at (36 & 40), we would like to be together and to start a family ASAP. Patience is definitely a virtue here. Easier said than done sometimes though.

~~moved to progress reports from process and procedures~~

2 months is not much of a wait. ;)

You guys realize that the whole process is around 12 months or so, right? You just started and it has been only over 2 months. It's worth the wait, but you have to take it easy and wait, otherwise you won't make it. Try to visit each other. It will help you make time goes faster. That what we did.

If your two-month wait is killing you then what more for us? We're on the process for almost a year and still patiently waiting. Try to start collecting stuff needed on NVC. Goodluck on your journey. Hope it won't take that long.

I remember when I was two months in which was December 2013. The wait was killing me then, because I knew how much longer I'd have to wait and that's probably what OP is trying to say, not that two months is too long.

OP, it does end eventually. What seems like ages and ages now will feel like it flashed by in the future. Our file sat at the National Benefits Center with no intention of the staff there ever looking at it... we all felt like we'd just been dumped there and nothing would ever happen, but now the vast majority of us are waiting for or have had our interviews. Hang in there, talk to your spouse as often as possible and distract yourself from your thoughts with hobbies.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Hi there,

I know it seems like a long process, but in the end, it's very much well worth it. I was involved with everything not too long ago. And I was a part of people that had there cases moved from the CSC to the TSC and then got lost in the twilight zone. So I know it's a big stress, but it's coming. Believe me, just keep your chin up, stay in love, keep talking and don't lose hope. TSC can take a little bit, but when someone there applies a Cattle Prod... it's like the gates come open and everyone moves really fast. It's been a bit since I posted anything, but I can say that everyone here is along for the ride.. and those of us that have been on that bus know it's an uncomfortable ride. But you'll see the end will come soon, and you'll all be together.

Keep your chin up!

You two will make it. For those of us who have been back there at the two month mark... it is my opinion that in some ways I think it to be more difficult because of the awful realization of all the time you know is ahead of you but take heart it will end.

Every day is a day closer and before you realize it, it will just be a memory lost in the joy of being together again. You both will be stronger in your love and appreciate each other all the more when you reunite. Use this as a time to build commitment. My husband often says this is a time for us to "pray more, talk less."

The fact is, be it one day or one year... any and all separation from your loved one is painful.

So yes, keep busy  keep hoping  praying :dancing: waiting :clock: and loving your special person :secret:

NOA-1 on 2014-08-18, I not understand the killing bits,

unless you filed from abroad and are expecting to get into the hidden, 'fast' adjudication queue.

5 to 9 months is 'average', and might get extended based on your service center. Are you certain your I-130 got routed to the Texas Service Center?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
