Hello everyone! I am not really sure if I am in the right forum? I just want to ask about my greencard. Here is my situation. I got my greencard 3 months ago. about 2 weeks ago our family went out to do something fun, on our way home, my husband felt so sleepy so we went out from the car just to walk around a little bit, when we went back to the car our passenger window was broken and i lost my purse. My purse has my greencard and my son's greencard, including all my id's and ssn. Now, we need to file for a replacement of our green card, I wonder what to do? and how long i should file for the replacement? do i need to file real soon? or is it possible to wait for a few months? I really need an advice. Any advice i will get will be greatly appreciated. Sandy

With your ssn and id missing, first thing you need to do is freeze any accounts opening on your name; change all bank acocunts, etc.

Next is to notify USCIS of the green card stolen and file for new ones. I wouldn't be waiting around to do any of the above.
