Ask yourself: Who is paying the bill of all the uninsured at the moment? The only people kvetching about the ACA are the uninsured who now have to pay for their own health insurance, as opposed to running to the ER with non emergency issues and leaving the bill for the rest of us to pay.

Surely not just republicans. Us "democratic" free stuff voters are paying for this too. If you belief democratic voters have jobs that is.

What is interesting is the "as many as 34 million cards total" quoted in the RFP.

The official figure for illegal aliens in this country hovers around the 12 million mark. Pessimistic estimates place the figure as high as 20 million, or so. To get to the 34 million mark will require one heck of a surge. Legal immigration won't make up that number, so what are they expecting to happen?

Maybe when the White House makes its move on amnesty, they're expecting a flood of new immigrants looking to take advantage. Without sufficient resources on our Southern border, to make it secure, if the estimate is even close to accurate, this will turn into an train wreck that makes the current bad situation look mild in comparison.

wait. massive thought, swimming around in ma head.

a bit of that count, will be the 10 year cards, those 2 year card holders have to apply for stuff, aye?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Everyone of us who has paid for health insurance throughout the years has been paying the bills left behind by the dead beats who are too lazy or irresponsible to insure themselves. They are the only ones complaining about the ACA.

You know I'm joking right? I know who has been paying the bills. Breathe a little bit. :content:

White House spokesman tries to explain why news reports regarding 34,000,000 ordered green cards are "crazy":

WH: Immigration stories ‘crazy’

By Justin Sink | October 22, 2014

The White House said Wednesday it was “crazy” to attempt to divine the president’s post-election plans for an immigration executive order based on a procurement request issued by the Department of Homeland Security.

“I mean, this is crazy,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said, adding he would caution reporters against “making assumptions” based on the “procurement of green paper.”

The proposal, unveiled earlier this week by Breitbart News, asks potential contractors to prepare for the possibility of producing up to 34 million green cards and work permits over the next five years…

Earnest said those who were interpreting the solicitation as a signal of the president’s plans were “a little too cleverly trying to divine” the president’s intention, and that Obama had not even made final determinations about what he planned to announce after the election…

Instead of forcing reporters and citizens to "divine" his intent, why doesn't the preznit just announce what extra-legal shenanigans he's up to with these 34,000,000 permits? What happened to that nice young man with all the promises of transparency and "rule of law"? Is he still around?
