AOS: Income Calculation and Student Loans , Credit Card Debt

Hello everybody, this is my first post! My income level is well above the poverty line, but out of curiosity how do student loans and credit card debt play into the picture? Would they look at annual income after taxes and subtract the owed cash payment amounts such as student and car/mortgage loan payments and credit card payments and assess that final figure along with the value of assets?

No. They assess your annual income before taxes as reported on your tax return/transcripts.

Edit : Credit Card Debt and Student Loans are irrelevant unless you have something like a bankruptcy in your history, and that still doesn't play a factor in a decision, but they may ask your significant other if you told them just to make sure your relationship is honest.

They only want to know the income information and not the debt.
