Another Medical Exam??????

We had our medical exam back when we went to the consulate interview and now they're sending us a RFE for another immigration medical. Is this correct??

Yes I sent it all in together

In looking at your timeline, I can only assume that you are talking about your AOS. If it's been over a year since your medical, then you have to have another one.

I got the same thing last year. Apparently they had "lost" my medical file. As soon as I got the RFE letter, I was on the phone with the immigration liason at the Senator's office. We managed to work it out that the district office had "misplaced" the file, and that as a K3 I had already supplied all the medical informatin and should not be responsible for another one. I was assured by the liase that he had worked it out with the DO, and I wrote a rather harshly worded letter in response to their RFE

If your medical was less than one year before you sent in your AOS application, and your medical was complete, with vaccinations and whatnot, then you do not need another one, and you can fight it. Or, you can find a civil surgeon and go have another one done, at your expense.

Call your Senators' office(s) and ask them for help. That's what they're there for.

We didn't send another medical with the AOS. We sent a copy of the immunizations given in Jordan and did not receive an RFE for it. Good luck in your process.
