Not sure what percent of the population already has one, but Shirley there are enough already issued that would reduce any state or federal burden (doing it your way). I say let individuals buy their own. Then they can vote AND travel to foreign countries!

"I am serious, and don't call me Shirley".

How exciting for them. Maybe the could spend spring break in Majorca .... you don't really get the concept of a poll tax do you?

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

By that logic the gas you put in your car, or the bus fare that gets you to the voting booth could be considered a poll tax.

Even if the evidence were factual it still denies any claim that is being made to support the id laws. It's just a diversion so that these states don't have to face the real issues. A three-ring circus by any other name...

The article is based on a study which s turn based on survey data that is self reported and not gathers by the surveys authors. It des not restrict data to those who voted in national elections. The authors themselves bring questions about data quality into their article, but maybe WP made them do it to maintain a consistent liberal bias in the onslaught of this overwhelming evidence

I disagree... the southern strategy for Republicans is going away. These states will be in play. Republicans are looking ahead to several hanging Chad episodes, and they don't plan to loose easy. Look at gov Christie's comments this week

Give yourself more time. You will probaly be able to get it on your own.

That can be seen as a personal attack. Da mods will be coming after YOU next!!

Interesting testimonial.

I don't know of any adults who would even consider engaging in a debate with a 4-year old, and while at it, entertain the notion of 'winning', unless of course you're 5 or 6. I can guarantee you that for the rest of us, adults, it doesn't make much sense. When you grow older you'll understand.

Another personal attack. Dude... Edited by DavenRoxy

I do. But the purpose of a fraud free ID will be nigh on to impossible outside a passport. Perhaps a state subsidy cam be implemented to cover or at least assist with the cost per voter.

The alternative is to keep on as we are now. Keep letting dead people vote. Why not?

You know what "self reported" means, right? Folks freely admitting to voting while not entitled to. Not a problem for you, is it. It's the "new ethics". <_<

Poll. Pole. Stick around little buddy, you'll soon learn that words mean things. And some words sound alike but mean different things. We'll get thru this together.
