If/when I find a story on a political blog, I always trail it back to a 'respectable' media source. (although WaPo isn't shy about showing their left-wing bias on a regular basis),

In other words "the devil will cite scripture for his own purposes"

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

The funny thing here is that I honestly do not know if what you wrote is an attempt at irony or if you literally believe it to be true.

I'm currently 60/40 on the latter.

A [federal] governemnt provided ID, such as a passport, would be the only way to stop any and all fraud. I agree with that instance. Perhaps the states that wish to see such measures implemented should foot the bill for all those who want such form of ID enforced.

Why not a government provided ID? I would be willing to bet that those who were avid voters would get the ID or already have one anyway. I know lots of people who hardly ever vote. Out here in suburbia, a town election is lucky to get a 20% turnout for most elections. Requiring an ID isn't going to keep people away. The reality is there is a lot of voter apathy. What is the average percentage of turnout for a Presidential election, about 50%? I don't know off the top of my head, I'm just curious.

I'm in MA, so there were a lot of hoops to jump through to get a CC license. The rectal exam was a killer.

In its current form, the existing legislation will prevent certain groups from voting.

That added to ballot stuffing will ensure favorable results to the GOP.

Read post #349. JohnR! implied that somehow a voter I.d. law will ensure gop minions can stuff the ballots. Whaf does that mean? Does that mean a voter i.d. law will make it easier for Republicans to cheat? Or does it mean gop minions will be the only ones voting because no one else will go through the trouble of getting a voter I.d.?

It really isn't all that complicated, is it?

When JohnR says "ballotts", he really means "man butt". So replace the word "ballots" with "man butt" and you'll understand.

Sarcasm of not, the GOP and the TBs are going to extreme lengths to ensure they segregate those votes most likely not to vote for their candidates. If they don't cheat these people out of their ballots there is a chance they won't win anything in the upcoming elections.

(Sarcasm on) Are you implying that a certain party is scared they won't be able to win if they can't cheat? Please, say it ain't so! (Sarcasm off)

Or is it just that the Democrats don't want to have to pay twice for each vote, once to take people to get ID, then again to bus them to vote?

Are the Democrats that hard up that they can only afford one bus ride per voter?

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself
