Yes it means your case is enroute to the embassy. Call/email them to find out about your interview date & next steps (documents etc), this may be a UAE specific thing - fellow UAEers may help, but all others will have their own country specific rules.

From the information I got from the clinic I am going to they wrote that if do not have proof of vacination or if, in this case, you've had chickenpox and it hasn't been documented they will do the test for you. So your clinic will probably do it but I was going to look into the option of having it done before going there.

I know the feeling, I am so glad my clinic is fine with it. I will have to travel as well. I got nervous when the clinic said that chest x-ray will be done at another clinic but luckily they were withing walking distance of each other and the x-ray clinic did drop in.

just a word of advice, try and get all the required US vaccinations done before your medical so your DS3025 vacination form (the one they send to the dept of state from your medical) is complete BEFORE you head to the states. If not when you apply for AOS you will have to find and pay a civil surgeon to fill out and compile a new vaccinatoin form for you. From what i've read this isnt easy and many surgeons want you to pay for a full medical again! Which will be hundreds of dollars. I'm going to be in this position, just hope to find a decent civil surgeon stateside who will accept a reasonable fee to just do a new form.

Check your country portal, non-UAEers cannot reliably tell you what the embassy there does.

Pack 3 is a letter/email some embassies in some countries send out once the have the case. It requests the visa applicant to send the required documents (different in each country - typically at least birth cert, police cert, affidavit of support) to the embassy prior to getting a visa appointment.

What forms are you talking about? Difficult to know what you mean?

Typically, the embassy requires DS-160 and some others - again, only UAE filers can help with this, check your country page or contact the embassy.

Awesome!!! Your case is on it's way to the Embassy!!! The rest of the wording is just the normal, it says the same thing for everyone. Check your portal for your Embassy for instructions on what to do once your case arrives.

Hi all!

On 03/24 we received USCIS confirmation that our case had been sent to NVC.

My fiancée called today to find out about the status (I know it might be a little to soon, but we have been waiting for more than 8 months so we really want to speed things up) and they told her that until they have our case number, it could take up to 35 days since the day it was sent from USCIS.

I´ve seen other cases move faster than that, probably 14 days on average, what do you guys think?

Hi I called every day because they receive it anywhere from 5 to 17 days. They got mine in 13 days. Then once they got it you can ask for case number etc. and then they keep it for like 3-5 days before they send it to the embassy

So from the time you got your NOA2 until you have the interview, should be around 20-30 days?

I calculated based on the patterns of all other cases that were filed. I originally estimated between 8 to 10 days but as people posted their info I realize that the actual estimate is between 5 to 17 days. That helped me calm down, my case was approved on 3/4/15, nvc received it on the 13th day which was 3/17/15, then on 3/18/15 I got my case number, my beneficiary number and my invoice number, then on 3/20/15 they sent it out to the Consulate in Cuba, they have not received it by other petitions sent to the Cuban Consulate I estimate it will get there between 10 to 13 days, but that is just because the issues between USA and Cuba.

But, once they sent it to Cuba I filled out the ds160 very carefully (never use the back button always use their own back button), once you fill out and submit the ds160 check the web page of your consulate to see how you make the appointment, they will create a profile for you, they will give you a user name and password, with that you go in pay your visa with a Debit card and then with that you can schedule your appointment.

Look my case went off on the 20th, and by the 24th I had already submitted the ds160, paid the visa and got my interview date.

My fiancée called NVC and they told her that they received the case today (13 days after NOA2, just like yours); but they also told her it will take 4 weeks to be processed (that is, we asume, getting the case number) and not to call until those 4 weeks have passed :S

I was wondering if they told you the same thing about the time frame for the case to be processed, and that they received it but hadn´t been processed?

they tell everyone the same thing. Just have your fiance call tomorrow and ask for the case number, beneficiary number and Invoice number, but tell her to call tomorrow night, that was the pattern that I followed. It could take a couple of days maybe 2 but you should have everything you need this week. Your case will probably leave nvc by the end of this week or early next week. Congratulations, keep us posted.
