Fellow July filers,

I have great news for you, I just came from work and checked the mail and guess what I found. It reads "The above petition has been approved, forwarded to the listed consulate." I didn't receive a text message or an email notification so don't count on those just check the mail at home. Don't even bother checking case status online. THE LONGEST WAIT EVER IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be calling NVC on Tuesday for sure to see if my case has arrived!! No updates on approvals or cases being sent to Department of State. I was told to give it 15 days by a Tier 2 Officer. I pray I get good news!!

That is just about THE BEST surprise ever lol!!! CONGRATS!!!! that just shows that TSC is really slacking. No text or email...fine, but no site update. Putting you through all that extra stress but at least its all over now hahahaha TSC smh. Best of luck soooo happy for you guys

Quick question. My approval notice states that the case has been forwarded to the specified consulate. It has nothing that states that it was forwarded to the National Visa Center. Does this mean that it was all done and its on its way to the consulate and the NVC stage will be skipped or what? Please advise!!! Thanks and hope for a great week for all of you.

I was going to ask my immigration lawyer but due to the holidays they are closed today and would like to see if anyone else has experienced this with their case.

And by the way I wouldn't bother checking the online case status because it is still not working and it will give you more of a headache. My case was approved on the 9th and it still has not changed online. Keep checking the mail at home, this is your best bet for now.

This is the standard language. It will be sent to NVC. Sometimes it's awnt within days other times it takes a week or more. Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Thanks for that update.. I have continued to check the status but wondered if that was the case. Now just left totally in the dark and waiting for the post... I'm depending on people updating their timelines to provide a picture of what's going on. Looks like we are all on the verge of hearing something any time now.

Congratulations again and yes good luck with the ongoing NVC and Embassy process.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Yes you are right it seems like the system is not working at this time. It is not sending mail or text message for updates and it itself is not getting updated either.

Ok thank you... I've been checking case status several times a day. I don't know whether to feel good about this or not.. I guess it could be in the mail

for our RFE we got a text and email...but that was on the 3rd, so maybe things have changed
